Going home again, a traveling MMP

My emphasis - if you can do both at the same time, I applaud you! I have yet to meet someone who looked attractive when they were mining for boogers! :stuck_out_tongue:

Auntie Cold, your new goat videos are a hit in our house! HRH spent most of this morning chanting, “baby goat maaaa, baby goat maaaa!”

Congrats on getting some more exams out of the way, Moonboy! Try to forget about the results and just enjoy spring break!

Happy Birthday Nava!

Belated Happy Returns for Ms BooFae!

Moonie, I don’t envy you taking Fields. Back In The Day[sup]tm[/sup], that was one of the weed-out classes. One of the reasons I’m a digital dude, instead of power or RF.

And Thermo is 100% the reason I’m a EE now.

I got the official results back this week on my EMT exam, BTW. The one section I did worst on was Operations, which covers fun topics like emergency vehicles and traffic laws, and all things HazMat. It happens to be the one area I’d predict 100% on; I got 25% right. So I can empathizr about the point charge thing.

Happy birthday to the birthday girls!!

No time for fancy fonts. Busy busy firday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAVA!

I wish I wouldn’t have brought my work computer home. The stupid VPN connection is slooooooowwwww and it’s taking me forever to get things done. I’m not supposed have even brought it, and if my husband sees me working, he’ll get pissed. The only reason I brought it home is because my boss is gone, and I sent him an e-mail that I need a response to NOW. I told him that I was bringing it home in anticipation of his answer.

However, since I brought my computer home, I am trying to queue up reports for next week and catch up some other things that I couldn’t get to while our OTSG visitor was here. I wish my work ethic would let me just relax, dammit.

Hugs and smooches to all.

Happy birthday, Nava and BooFae!!!

Finally got to to watch the goat videos. ::faints from teh cute:: You’re a good mom, Auntie Cold! I love the nursery!

Moonie - I hardly ever know what you’re talking about with your fancy schoolin’, but I’m glad you get to rest now.

I am so glad I have today off. Work was getting old. I decided to take three days off next week, too. Did I tell y’all that yet? So our cold front ought to be out of here by Monday, and I’ll do some gardening. Right now it’s frickin’ 45°F. Brr. Although, who am I to complain when FarmGirl has 42 degrees BELOW FREEZING. I can’t even comprehend that.

My friend from Missouri is in town for the birth of her grandson. Mom and baby are doing well and are at home, and Mish is coming over today. She hasn’t seen any of the remodeling we’ve done. She hasn’t been here in over five years.

See ya later!

Dotty, let’s just say I have mad skillz.

'Grats on surviving exam season, Moonie. I got stressed out and exhausted just reading that list, so you have my sympathies.

I just did a big :smack: because I was sure my friend’s big party was on Sunday night, but when I went to confirm the location on Facebook, I realised that I’d mixed up the date and it’s actually TOMORROW… which is going to be a huge pain in the ass, because it’s all the way up in the sticks where transit doesn’t go. The original plan was to visit the in-laws for brunch on Sunday and borrow their car afterwards, but now I’m not sure how we’ll get there.

I’m a dumbass. A cute one, of course, but a dumbass nonetheless.

Howdy Y’all!

I’ve been a productive bear today. Da cave yahd is all spiffed up. I weeded, roundupped (roundedup?) and mowed. Also I put out some weed and feed. Rumor has it it’s supposed to be rainy tomorrow into Sunday. We shall see.

Anywho, I’m all showered and had a nappypoo.

Dindin tonight is a semi-Chinese experiment. I sliced up some flank steak and have it marinatin’. I envision stir fryin’ peppers, onions, carrots, brocoli florets and ‘shrooms along with the steak and servin’ it on steamed rice. Anywho the veggies are all prepped and soon I shall begin the experiment.

Home - whew! I’ve got Navy bean soup started - the beans are in the sit-n-soak phase right now. Shortly, I’ll chunk up the ham, onions, carrots, and celery. With luck, we’ll be eating before 6. Gonna make some cornbread too, I think.

Work was a pain - thru a mix-up, I thought I was being moved to yet another team. Instead, I’m going to be assigned to 2 teams at once. rah.

It was snowing this morning, but it’s all wet now. Rain all weekend. But I brought my current clay project home, so I’ll be working on that. School is on spring break and I didn’t want to risk having my piece dry out before I got back. I should be able to finish in a couple of hours.

Off to cook. Back later. Hugs all around! MWAH!!

**Happy Birthday, Nava!
**
Many returns, BooFae!

I went out to lunch with friends, so we could all gossip and put down our previous employer. :stuck_out_tongue: It was entertaining, although I think it’s time for me to move on. We went to an Indian restaurant that had a delicious, if not terribly spicy, buffet. Curry, dosas, a divine okra dish, nom nom nom.

When I came home, I found my tax package waiting for me. I decided that I had better open it, even though I was dreading how much I was going to have to pay this year, since I normally write a four figure check to the IRS every year. I’m getting a refund! I still owe the state a hundred and change, but I can live with that. I haven’t gotten a refund in years. Yippee!

Yahd? When did you turn into a Bostonian?

Wanna come out here and Roundup my weeds? I’m pretty sure we have the stuff - just need to mix it up and start spraying.

Really no different than how it feels to be cleaning old users out of systems and servers. Get in there and start yanking out IDs by the roots. (Sometimes acting as root…heh, a Unix joke) There are a few clanky old things that I’d love to just unplug then drop off the roof. Only problem is that those old Tandem servers would probably survive the fall.

I’m home!!!

Smiled my way through the nice things (HRH reacting to goat videos - isn’t the internet a wonderful place?), booed in all the right places (bad exam from incompetent prof), but retained little.

Am eating macaroni and cheese for dinner. And then maybe a clementine.

Gotta get some documents done for my volunteer group.

And decide what I’ll be doing on the weekend other than working (I’m going in for a couple of hours tomorrow).

First I’m gonna knit and watch my German soap opera. (Thanks for the compliments on the hat and scarf, tarra.)

Hugs all.

GT

gotti I’d round you up anytime.

What? Y’all never flirted with a married man?

Dindin turned out goooooood. I made a little change. Instead of a stir fry, what I did was to lightly flour the steak strips and brown 'em along with the 'shrooms. Then I made a roux, added a little beef stock, added the steak back in and let it simmer. It made a nice gravy. I put the 'shrooms back in for a few minutes at the end just cause. I steamed the veggies and the rice. I served the meat, 'shrooms, and veggies over rice with the gravy. It was teh nummy!

Then we went to  Wally*World. I was on a hunt for parsnips. There were none to be had. Thus we went to Publix and I found ‘em. I also bought a few turnips to add in to the stew. Now comes the fun tomorrow of peelin’, choppin’ and cookin’.

MOOOOOOM the soup sounds nummy. I likes me some navy bean soup.

Shadow yay on the tax return!

Moonie I have no idea what kind of fancy learnin’ you’re doin’ but congrats on survivin’ finals.

Muppet lookin’ pretty while nose pickin’ is a mark of true graciousness.

Chickie cool videos! The baby goats are so keeeeeeeyooooooote!

Hi gang, remember me?

It was weird for me not to plop myself down in front of the puter each evening - but I’m still trying to catch up on the sleep I didn’t get last weekend.

I’m alive - I’m reasonable (within my particular parameters) healthy - just seriously tired. I won’t pretend I’ve read anything - just hugs to all. Next week I should be back to normal.

Well dang BioRosie just cause you don’t post for a whole week is no reason to go all normal on us!

The soup was yum! But then, I made it, so it would have to be yum…

TGIF.

That’s all I’ve got.

normal is a relative term - but none of my relatives are normal either…

Heck, next to most of my relatives, I am normal. Howzat for skeery?

::waves at rosie::

I need chocolate.

::wanders off::

These were just midterms…

This entire evening has been spent on pizza (Papa Johns, Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza and classic Ham n Pinapple Pizza), beer, and Super Smash brothers Brawl for the Wii.
I’ll head home for spring break tomorrow; I’m tired and lazy and don’t feel like fighting the I-95 Northbound traffic through Baltimore atm.

Also, this song makes me giggle, in a juvenile sort of way.

Well then, YOU SLACKER! Why didn’t you do better!!! :stuck_out_tongue:
