Good evening - a VERY late MMP

TVCTPMO=The Vast Conspiracies To Piss Me Off.

Dying over here.

Thank God for backup plans. If ever the board dies again I can at least count on that! :smack:

Other than that up and generally adulting. I trusted the OW to finish unpacking Sunday ----------- which means I have to run to the dealership later and see if anything is still left in the loaner. :smack: In theory the Garmin and some other stuff is there.

I’ve managed to clear a good chunk of the crap on my desk, and I’ve had a healthy lunch. The morning went fast - here’s hoping for an equally speedy afternoon.

Baby Engineer is on travel and a lot of what I’m doing is for his project - a few things won’t get done till he’s back because I need some clarification. But Josh gave me a project that’ll fill my time nicely.

All in all, not a bad day, but it was truly a struggle to get up this morning. Only about 4 months to go, tho. I can do this!

Happy Toosday!

Home from the park, looks to be a pretty day.
Ripple had a good time, and when I asked him if he was ready to go home, he beat me to the gate.

I forgot to order groceries yesterday, so I need to get that done so we can pick them up this afternoon.
My son is refusing to go to the Mexican restaurant, so I guess he isn’t doing this assignment, because I have no idea who to talk to and the assignment is due tomorrow.
I am so pissed at him.

I heard about a place up here that has an indoor shooting range and gun safety classes, etc. When they have their next beginners class I am signing up both of us. He has been shooting before and he likes it, it will be good for him. I haven’t fired a gun in so long I think a refresher course would be good for me.
I think I should start dragging him to the dog park too.
Anything to get him out of the house and meeting people.

Next week is supposed to be busy again, and I got an email asking me to put in extra time. I will appreciate the money, but I am going to be exhausted when it is over.

I need to make a list of everything that needs to be done in August, it is going to be a loooooooooooooong list.

Hope you feel better soon Butters.

Happy travels Ruble

Hope you get to travel Doggio

Howdy Y’all! Laundry is laundered and put where it all stays until dirtied again. I decided long ago there are two universal truths. They are, there will always be dirty laundry and there will always be trash.

Physician, heal thy self.

Tell them he interviewed the Frito Bandito, who would only respond, “Si” to every question.

The loaner went out again with the Garmin still on the back floor in this nice little lunch-boxed cooler. I am not expecting it to return. Another morning of my life I’ll never have back. I’m just too damn old for this crap. If you aren’t going to do something, tell me and I’ll do it. Don’t tell me its done and then expect me to re-do it every frikkin time. Any more that seems to be the norm rather than the exception. I need a drink but with work -------- that will have to wait.

Sorry you’re feeling sickly Butters :frowning:

We gave up our stick shift cars many years ago when Wifey’s knees started to go bad. Can’t say as I miss them now. A lot of things I didn’t think I’d ever care about on my cars I find I like. Wifey’s new Hyundai has a backup camera for instance. I find that I really like that. C’est la vie.

We have a window air conditioner in the bedroom window and last night we went to bed with it on. About 4am I decided it was too cold and turned it off. This morning at about 7 I woke up sweating. :frowning:

Wifey and theGirlChild[sup]tm[/sup] are off to central Orygun to a painting class. They’re also gonna look at a little house over there that Wifey is enamored with. I foresee a whole 'nother bunch of projects for me.

I’m gonna try to make shrimp lo mein for myself tonight. I need to go out and find some baby bok choy though. Hope it’s better’n the last bunch of bok choy I bought.

My golden marconi pepper plant has had peppers on it for weeks now but up til now they stayed green and looked like anaheims. Well, yesterday the biggest one started to turn orange.

Other than that I got nothin’.

Where are you that causes that to be unusual?

Home at last. It was a very busy day. **FCD **is still waiting for the Amish repair guys to show up and patch the roof. I’m defrosting some chickie tits in the microwave - they’ll be the entree for tonight’s supper, along with some cheddar bay biscuits, carrots, and maybe pineapple chunks. Whatever’s easiest.

Good times…

I’m going to have to save that acronym.

At least he would have something to turn in.
I suppose he can get partial credit by responding to the posts his classmates turn in.

I’m telling him he has a choice, start going places with me or go see a shrink.

I don’t know where or how the professor came up with this assignment.
Then again, I don’t know how Special Topics in Business Management came to be all about Latin America, with a focus on Peru.
It has been an interesting class, but it would have been nice to know what it was going to be about before he signed up for it.

It looks like we are going to get a big storm soon. The sky is getting dark and it’s getting windy. I’m glad we got the groceries in before it started.

I need to finish the laundry I started yesterday. Load of washcloths that has been soaking in a bleach solution. I meant to start the washer this morning and forgot.

Today is junk mail day and Ripple is bringing it to me one piece at a time. Anything to maximize his treats. Now he is bringing me my slippers.
He has also been known to empty his toy basket, wanting some cheese for each toy he brings me.

Sounds like Ripple has you trained but good!

didn’t say it was unusual. Just trying to fit in.

I have a cold and have sneezed no less than a couple hundred times today. I have taken double doses of two kinds of antihistamines and nothing touches it. I do believe I would rather have anything else (curable) but a f’ing cold. Toothache or heart attack, broke bone anything. Just not a cold. I have not been around any sick people that I know of so probably picked this up when we went to cardiologist the other day.

WTG wet one!

{{{butters}}} I hope that you’re feeling better today.

ruble, the body shop that my car went to told me that parking placards, phone chargers and sunglasses are the main things people forget in their cars when they go in for an extended stay.

Doing some mop up and recon today. Over the weekend, there was a big system glitch at irk and yesterday everybody had to change passwords that had just been changed last week. The requirements tend to include all kinds of challenges, including doing the hokey pokey (I keed, I keed) so coming up with something acceptable that hasn’t been used in the last 14 years twice in a week, well, that sucks.

Along with the system glitch, it left anyone not working on a desktop were unable to access the main shared drive. For me, that meant sending out E0M reports to quite a few people as an attachment instead of a link. I love my job. :stuck_out_tongue: Thank heaven that tomorrow’s the last before vacation.

Tonight, I will finish up the last paying project for delivery (along with the craft/book bag for the heathen children) Thursday. Then, it’s hit the road on Friday.

We supped. We chilled. OYKW is now abed. He’s tahrd, poor thing. I shall join him anon.

Gordie loves his new pet sitter(but who doesn’t love strangers who show up and give you free food). So I am off to Savannah in the A.M. to [del]enjoy the quaint charm and architecture[/del]punish my liver.
Drinking an Old Tuffy to pre pregame.

red, I get the reverse. Mechanics leave tools in my car. Hit me up if you ever need an inspection sticker scrapper.

Yay doggio! When you go, will you have the chance to Tybee Island?
