It occurs to me that I may have left some of y’all “out of the loop” regarding my wife’s health. She is much better and is getting around without her cane (due to the swelling in her right leg which landed her in the hospital in the first place, and where we found about all the other crap), she’s driving and (thank Og) she’s cooking again!
I am still taking care of the house-cleaning, washing the dishes (well, loading them and putting them up, actually) and the clothes and my usual chores, such as feeding Bert (our cat) and cleaning his bathroom. Tomorrow, Monday, I’m going to take the leaf-blower out and attempt to use it (never done that before). We have Magnolia Tree leaves and all kinds of pine straw to the point where you can’t see our driveway!
She doesn’t post here (don’t know why, but I don’t push her to - just to read), and as a matter of fact, she doesn’t spend even 10% of the time I do in front of her machine. So can I tell you a little bit about this lady I love so much?
First of all, we are complete opposites. I’m irreverent, and she is very closely tied to her church; I’m way “out there” (as y’all know) and she’s firmly grounded; I am very self-centered and she loves her family to the point where she remembers all her nephews, nieces, cousins and any new babies.
She also will not put up with any shit from me.
When we first moved here, I was on a stepladder putting up the blinds, and I accidentally (for the third time) dropped one of the screws?
I went ballistic and let out a stream of cusswords so long it about turned the air blue.
She waited till I got down from the stepladder, and then slapped me so hard I can still feel the fingerprints.
“Don’t you ever, EVER, use that language in front of me again!!!”, she yelled. So since then, I’ve taken to muttering those words.
Sometimes I hear “I heard that, Bill!!!”
So that is why I love and re-married this wonderful woman, this gift to me, and why I will never leave her side.
Still need to educate her to Beethoven, though.
She’s a little bit Country. I’m a little bit Rock 'n Roll and Classical!!!
Thanks for reading. I know I ramble sometimes, but I needed to tell my friends about my “bestest friend”: - YouTube
