Good news My naturalization as a British citizen came thru, so I’m now a dual US/UK citizen!

Bad news My company is closing some of its remote R&D labs, mine included. So myself and 8 coworkers are being made redundant.

Good news The good-ish bit is that we get a good package. 1 month as ‘still employed but with nothing to do’, 1 month notice period, then a tax-free payment of 2 weeks salary per year of service, which in my case is 16 weeks.

Bad news I’ve got to find a new job.

Good news I’ve got alot of contacts in the industry, so this shouldn’t be hard. I may even give contracting a try.
