In the first new episode it actually took me a second to realize that binge watching wasn’t a thing when Fry was frozen until I remembered that.
Although the Napster reference I mentioned was actually something in the 31st century. Remember the one where they were illegally copying celebrity images to blank robots from “Kidnapster”?
I’m watching episode 2 right now.
The animation looks stiff and different to me and the first episode was a bit too on the nose but. . . Yay, Futurama!
Loved the second episode even if it was stupid that nobody remembered anything about the kids. I guess they had to find a way to explain it to those who hadn’t seen the 20 year old episode. Dang. I’m old!
I also found it funny that apparently 20 years have actually passed in the Futurama universe, yet none of the characters appear to have aged a bit. Except maybe Farnsworth before he put on his anti-wrinkle cream. But I guess they can just hand wave it and say they all use some futuristic cosmetic technology that keeps them looking exactly as young as they were 20 years ago.

Well, their bodies were cloned at the beginning of the second revival, that could have shaved off a few years.

I think 3x08 is my favorite of the new season so far. Reminds me of the early years.
I hope this week’s Futurama offering is just a side effect of the writers strike. Good grief, it was unwatchable.
That was the weirdest episode ever. But it was still fun.
