It never gets easier. My condolences.
Thanks, all.
I’m so sorry, EmilyG.
Thanks.
I’m still grieving the loss of my beloved cat Storm from January. It gets better with time but every once in a while I’ll remember. I can’t wait to get to a place where I can have a cat again.
My condolences.
Thanks.
My heartfelt condolences. I am now facing the prospect of losing my beloved Goliath, I understand the pain.
Cats are so independent–yet they work their way into our hearts and become family members.
I will give my cats extra skritches and treats tonight in honour of your little friend.
Thanks, all.
EmilyG, I had to make the same decision with my baby girl (Anna) on 12/03/2012 and it was the worst day of my life. Putting her to sleep was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but I didn’t hesitate because (as my vet put it) it was my final act of love to her. It hurts like hell and I hate that you’re having to go through it.
I visited petloss.com and rainbowsbridge.com a lot for quite a while after I lost her (and still do once in a while). A friend that I met on petloss.com shared the following with me and I thought I’d pass it on…
A heart of gold stopped beating
Two shining eyes at rest
God broke my heart to prove
He only takes the best
God knows you had to leave me
But you did not go alone
For part of me went with you
The day he took you home
You’ll be in my thoughts.
What a handsome guy. I’m so sorry that you lost him.
Thank you.
I still miss our last 3 cats, it is so hard to lose them that we decided we will have no more kitties. So sorry for your loss. They do become family don’t they?
Aww, I didn’t see this till now. So sorry for your loss.
So sorry Emily. (((hugs)))
Have you read the book Cat Heaven? It is a children’s book, but I find it very comforting.
Thanks, all.
