I was watching the music video for Journey’s Separate Ways and was absolutely mesmerized by the drummer’s… body language during the first verse.
First, he looks like he’s kind of struggling just to retain balance.
Then, at 1:14 he does this thing with his arms that makes him look like a lazy panda with motor skills disorder half-assedly trying to wave flies away.
That’s nothing. The drummer for Live in the clip for “I Alone” - that’s the guy without the drums - spends the clip stomping around in the background in a vaguely threatening manner for no goddam reason.
Of course, but whatever it is this guy is doing has always made me chuckle. He looks like he’s sort of trying to do something and gives up half-way through. “Hey, I’ve got a great idea… Nah, forget it.”
Been there, done that, actually…
I also love how his bandmate grabs him by the shoulder at the end and pulls him towards the back. “Hum, dude, that’s enough.”
I don’t think this thread needs strict guidelines .

I tried to put a link in but it doesn’t work for me.
Weird dance moves, weird sound effects, weird lyrics, and laying on the floor on the “down, down, down” part.
The original black-and-white video for Adriano Celentano’s “Prisencolinensinainciusol” has some of the goofiest synchronized dance moves I’ve seen from professional dancers. Unfortunately, I can’t find the video to post here—I can only presume that whoever holds the copyright has been very diligent in removing all traces of it from the Web. (It’s easy to find a later performance filmed in colour, but this has the cast sitting at school desks, and so has little or no dancing.)
Oddly enough, I often think of that video, because I think of it as a missed opportunity. It’s a major band at their peak, and it’s such a cheap video (an undramatic dockside location, the guys just wore whatever they had on, and those awkward moments make it seem like it was done in one take).
He became a politician… doesn’t Australia require that you be born on this planet to be elected?
Goofiest dance moves I have seen are those of S.A.Martinez of 311.
Never saw him before till I was at a 311 concert and was thinking “wtf is that guy doing?”
