I have installed google earth 5 on both my laptop and my wife’s laptop–works great. Fun program. Both HP laptopos and both are running Vista as the operating program.
I installed it on our home computer which is an HP running Windows XP. It installs and runs great—with the exception that the names of the town and countries don’t display. There is a red dot there, but no name next to it. It makes it more difficult to navigate and as this is my daughter’s primary machine I wanted Google Earth so that she can fly around the world so to speak.
I mean I really think this is a cool program–but that missing text makes it difficult to know where you are!
I have tried all the settings that I am aware of. All the options match the settings on my laptops, but still no text.
Any clue as to what I might try? I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Could any adjustments to settings on my end cause this (my daughter loves to tinker)?
Any help would be appreciated.
