It’s the sort of artwork that a child would put on a homemade card (you know, the kind that comes from the heart that a mother treasures all the more). Note the buttons and macaroni glued around the edges.
I agree that’s what it’s supposed to be, a kid’s artwork, but for Mothers Day it would definitely be full of “I love you Mom” and hearts. This looks like an adult’s guess at what kids draw for mothers day without encountering actual kids in the wild.
