Is there a new “timed out” type feature or is it just me?

Several times tonight, I’ve signed in, read a a bit, went potty or answered the door, and have come back to find ads and blank sign in boxes, exactly as if I am being logged off for inactivity in well under 5 minutes, and have signed in again. I do have a super crappy ISP, which may be the problem, but so far it is only manifesting itself here.

Did that make any sense at all?

BTW I really, intensely, super-duper, very much hate the ads which vibrate above the title bar. I probably wouldn’t have noticed except for it (them?)

Times out when typing slowly, too. Under 2 minutes.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet or not in this thread, but I’m having a problem with this: When I go to the second page of threads in any given forum, all the threads are listed as “read”. In other words “no new posts”. So I can’t click on the “Go to first new post” arrow past the first page. Driving me crazy!

The link button works differently now. Closely examine the code you get when you use it. Then try again, but select text BEFORE you click the link button.

I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this, but it just started tonight. Every time I click on an unread bolded thread and then hit the Back button, the page completely reloads and all threads are now unbolded. It’s quite annoying as it takes extra time to load and doesn’t show me what I haven’t yet read.

I also got this once, but most times it just reloads the main search page. On some rare occasions, it shows me search results ;).

I’m getting this now. I do a search get a fatal error without receiveing results, and have to wait 300 seconds, when I try again, I get a fatal error again, which of course asks me to wait 300 seconds.
