"Gotcha ya!" video from the conservative noise machine seeks to make NPR look bad

Unless it’s your contention that no racist liberals exist - which of course would be ridiculous -there is nothing in the least ironic about my post nor inaccurate about my assertion. (Hint: I know some myself. Very high-toned and indignant about racism, until one of their family members sleeps with a black guy. Or the daughter of another dates only black guys. Or the elderly one who has voted Democrat and in favor of liberal social programs all her life but invariably regards black people as the word that shall not be spoken. Or when…well, you get the idea.)

The fact of the matter is that there are racists in every group of human beings that exists and liberals are no exception.

Good lord, top executives at NPR are liberals!!??

Ah, that’s too funny!

O’Keefe is a herbicide?

He at least damaged quite a few with his smearing of ACORN. A lot of peopel lost their livelihoods because of that smirking little tool’s proven libel.

Sure, why wouldn’t they be? And why shouldn’t they be? If there were ever a job for a liberal, non-commercial journalism is it.

A bley bley bley sque…sque…scream like a pig, bitch.

Obviously you’re not a golfer.

'Cause it’s the classic Washington scandal. We screwed up by telling the truth.

To which Josh Lyman replies: Yeah, lets try not to do that too much.

So here I am, a clean-cut, 33 year old, white guy who frequently wears collared shirts just wasting - wasting! - my ability to pass as a conservative. No need for me to keep that up. So give me some ideas here. How can I pull off the same thing - getting prominent conservatives, or at least conservatives that I can stretch to associate with prominent institutions, to say embarrassing things on camera? Any ideas?

SA that is not at all what any reputable news organization does. I think there is an ocean of difference between what this young man does and what 20/20 or 60 minutes does today.

I think you’ll have a harder time than you think finding conservatives to make racist and hateful comments because not many of them actually think that was. The idea that you can is likely a result of too much Kool-Aid. A better idea would be to get some liberals and talk them into get haircuts and dressing nicely (this may be difficult but maybe you can offer them some money), get them to make racist and/or hateful statements about poor people, and then just pass them off as conservatives. Simply by being here you’re awash in liberal lies already, so you know they can do it.

What I was talking about is the practice of editing lengthy interviews or comments and then airing only parts of them. Everybody in the news and television magazine business does it.

I’m intrigued that while I said ‘embarrassing things’ you immediately jumped to ‘racist and hateful comments..’

Why not? Accusations of conservative racism and hatred for the “little guy” is about all you guys ever have. On the field of ideas you guys can’t compete, so you’ve adopted the strategy of whipping up hatred for the other side to advance your agenda. This tactic has been S.O.P for the left for decades. Where’ve you been?

:dubious: When the temporal police catch up with you . . . you’re fucked.

CMC fnord!

Ahh sorry I misunderstood your original statement, my apologies.

No problem at all. Thanks.

Their own internal investigation revealed numerous organizaional, management, and technical controls problems in thier processes.

Oh my, this couldn’t possibly be further from the truth. I’ve got an idea here, just spitballing; are you up for a challenge? How about you listen to one hour of Morning Edition and one hour of All Things Considered on NPR and one of of us durned libruls spend an hour listening to Rush Limbaugh and another hour listening to Glenn Beck. Whichever side can produce more examples of “whipping up hatred for the other side” wins. How bout it?
