HAH!
Pardon me, Formeragent, but whenever anyone says, ‘Just Trust Me’, every skeptic on this board is inclined to laugh his or her head off. Not a wise move, if you want a bit of friendly advice.
Now then. Very well, the manufacturers, creators, and officials in Gov’t. Judging from how many contractors are involved in various components of the International space station, I would hazard a guess that to maintain two additional stations, not to mention 140 astronaughts, would involve several thousand engineers to design it, several thousand machinists to build it, several thousand various other researchers to work on habitat, living quarters, food/water/oxygen supplies, etc. Several dozen thousand secretaries and admins to support all those engineers and researchers, thousands of various ‘officials’ in all levels of government to push the thing through, fund it, etc. Okay. There are tens of thousands of people with security clearances in this country, perhaps enough that we could put up a program like this and keep it classified.
Okay, we also need regular space shuttle trips up to supply the stations and retrieve waste. We can do that, sure.
What about all those amateur astronomers, though, out perusing the night sky with their Costco $49.99 telescopes? How come none of them have spotted these stations and gone on Action News 5 with them? Perhaps the government has gotten to all of them, and silenced them.
But what are the odds that of those HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people involved with the space station programs, that NONE of them would come forth with the news, ‘hey, folks, by the way, there’s two extra space stations already up there. And by the way, here are schematics of it, and these are the coordinates in the night sky in which you can spot it if you look out your window this evening.’ Why are YOU the first?
Sorry, but I need more proof than ‘Just trust me’ to accept that. Whaddaya got?
