I forgot to mention that I tend to find androgyny at least somewhat attractive. But androgyny is not what I get when I see Ms. Jones. It’s that fierceness I mention.

Waaaaaay to mannish for me. She looks like something chiseled out of stone for a sci-fi movie. And it seems to be done deliberately. I suspect she could dial it back considerably if she chose to.
All of that is your call - and there are a lot of folks who apparently agree with you - but damn, a lot of her music is excellent. A quick YouTube check didn’t turn up a mobile video I could view then paste here - but check out her version of Use Me. With Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare on drums and bass, it is wonderful.
I think she’s hot and find her very attractive. Lean, high cheekbones, smooth skin. She’s very exotic to me.
I’ve never heard her music though. I also recall reading that she was pretty unprofessional on the James Bond film too - Roger Moore had nothing good to say about her.

It’s the old Bill Withers song (which I love), with a full makeover. The bass just makes the song - very cool. Her voice is fine, but more importantly, suits this particular arrangement.
She’s eccentric and has a totally outlandish look and way she carries herself, but I love this music…

) that she tends to completely re-invent her covers, rather than just doing straight versions of them.

But then I also carry a torch for Skin, singer for Skunk Anansie (unrequitted, alas, as the lady swings for the ladies). Even though I’m told people also find her scary and mannish. Scary, you say ? I just don’t see it :).
