If you’ve unlocked the Police Uniform already, you can wear it to take the tank from the army base. The soldiers won’t shoot at you if you’re wearing it. I think completing one of the Malibu club missions unlocks it. Just go to the locker room of the police station on the east island and it should be there.
BTW, I’m at 99% with no cheating. All I need to do is get to level 12 in the Ambulance missions. :rolleyes:
I have been stuck at 98% (no cheats) for months. I got one of the walkthru - guides and started checking everything off. I am short by one jump ( and the final missions) that I know about. But by my checklist, I’ve completed all jumps - which means I made a mistake somewhere.
So, how can I tell which jump I missed? If you go back and re-jump one you’ve got credit for, you get no information. Also, you get no information if you mess up a jump that you don’t have credit for , and some of the jumps are pretty hard to stick.
Besides jump forever, I don’t know what to do.
If anyone is interested in breathing a little new life into the game, I recommend this mod (no doubt some of you have seen it). It installs easily and has executed flawlessly for me over the past few weeks. This is from the desciption:

It’s free, at 144 MB (WinRAR format) it may take a while for some of you to get, but it is worth the time.
What cheat codes did you use? I got 100% while using the health, armor, and weaons codes. I also did at least a couple of the ones (spawn vehicles I think) that lower your rating, because after I beat the game I spent some time aritifically raising it.

Yeah, a tank is a lot better than a car, but it’s so slow that you often can’t catch up to the bad guys to shoot them. The only way I’ve gotten to level 15 is with the Predator helicopter. It shows up at the military base once you’ve completed all the story missions (after killing Sonny). It’s got rockets and an autocannon, and you can just fly straight to your target.
As for percent completions, I think I got to around 65%, and don’t plan on going any higher. I’ve finished all the missions, and some of the extras, but tooling around looking for hidden packages or jump spots doesn’t appeal to me. Nor does delivering pizzas, street racing, or driving taxis. I’m mostly in it for shooting stuff.
Murcielago: I was just curious to know what codes the OP used because I’ve heard varied reports of cheats/100% glitches. I’ve only used a handful of the cheats in Vice City so maybe there are indeed some goofy ones that can screw up your game.
