Anyway, I’ve got to the point where I have 50% exactly of the game complete. What the fuck do I do now ? The last mission was “The G-Spotlight” - when you’ve bought the pornfilm studio and you have to go and blackmail the politician by photographing him with Candy Suxxx.
Now I’ve finished that, but I’ve no missions to go on, no hints, no meetings / phone ringing / anything !!!
The phone did ring a while ago, but it was just someone saying “job well done et cetera…”
I’m just carjacking people and driving around the city…
I hope you haven’t used any cheat codes along the way. If you did it’s possible that the game is pretty much over for you. After completing the game less than perfectly, I started again to see if I could get 100%. I cheated my ass off to get faster access to certain cars and motorcycles. Then I completed a mission, and all of the sudden traffic seemed real light. After driving around a couple of minutes, there was no traffic what so ever. I couldn’t do anything but steal (parked) cars and drive around. It totally sucked.
On the other hand you don’t say what you’ve completed at 50% Do you have your hidden packages? Jumped all the jumps?
Been there done that. Unfortunately, I did use some cheat codes. However, the city seems to be fine - people still milling around, plenty of hookers / cops / idiots on motorbikes, and when I open up with my bazooka all hell still breaks loose.
It’s just that when I pause and go into “Statistics” it tells me that I have only completed 50% - what’s up ?
The Taxi Co., The Icecream Co. - but it won’t earn me any cash, The Strip Club - but it won’t earn me any cash, The Night Club, The Print Works, The Boat Club - but it doesn’t seem to earn me any cash, Vercetti Mansion. I think that’s it…
To get the Ice cream Co. to earn you money you need to get in the truck and go sell “ice cream”. The strip club will earn you money after you go sit in one of the back rooms and let the stripper dance for you until you have paid her $600. You can also buy the film studio do those missions. You can buy sunshine auto and do all the races.
Don’t forget about the taxi cab, pizza boy, ambulance, fire truck and vigilante missions.
Oh yeah, and rob all the stores.
www.gtawh.com has lots of maps and other game tricks.
You have to do finish a boat race by getting in one of the boats to get the boat club to start earning money, you have to sell 50 ice creams to get that to start making money, and you have to spend $500 dollars at the strip club to get it to start. So there’s 3 missions there… Also you can buy the Auto Dealership (right near the entrance to the airport) which will give you car stealing and illegal street races.
You haven’t finished all the missions. So look around for icons on the screen, or new characters to go see. Check the map that comes with the game. After you finish all the missions, there’s still tons of stuff to do. Some of it is insanely tough. I gave up on the ambulance mission.
Find all the hidden packages.
Complete all the RC challenges.
Complete all the side races: dirt track, stadium, street.
Buy all properties.
Complete all rampages.
Complete all unique jumps.
Complete all side missions.
Rob all the stores.
Hop into a fire truck and complete level 12 or higher. This makes you fireproof.
Hop into a police car, tank, or police helicopter and complete mission level 12. This gives you max armor up to 150.
Hop on the pizza delivery moped and complete mission level 10. This gives you max health of 150.
Hop into a ambulance and complete mission level 12. This gives you infinite sprint.
Complete 100 taxi missions. This gives you super-jump taxi.
Steal a tank. You can do vigilante missions on them and you are virtually unstoppable. Just be ready to deal with a full wanted meter once you are done.
Stealing a tank is difficult but well worth it. After you get the full wanted level park it in your garage and save the game.
If you cheated you may not be able to finish the game. You have to do all the missions with each asset. After you do the print works mission the final mission should be available.
Agreed. Unlike GTA3, you don’t need to drive a sports car in most missions (although I still drove a Banshee most of the time, just out of habit from GTA3) and the tank comes in handy. Especially on that mission with those bikers shooting the tires of your car all the time, I found the Rhino to be a very useful asset.
Anyway, my method of stealing this was to hang out at vercetti estate and to shoot people with an automatic rifle. When I was out of armour and running low on health, I’d quickly run inside, grab the heart and run out again. Once the military shows up, they’ll leave the tank right in front of the fence to the estate. Just jump over the fence, snatch the tank and voilà (sp?), you’ve got your rhino.
When you do vigilante missions up to a level of 12, you’ll be rewarded with a maximum armour of 150, which is pretty useful as well.
After having completed all the missions in the game I had a completion of 50% as well, but doing insane stunts and chasing hidden packages didn’t sound too appealing to me, so I consider this game to be finished. The racing mission close to the end was pretty damn annoying, one tiny little mistake and you had to replay it.
My method of completing the Police Car missions wasn’t particularly sneaky, but it worked for me.
The problem with the Police missions is, your patrol car gets pretty banged up during the process. Getting thru level 12 with one car is difficult at best, especially since no respray shop will take a police car. The best way is to get up to 3 wanted stars, then wait for the Miami Vice car with the faux Crockett and Tubbs to show up. It’s a police car Ferrari. Once they come up, get out of the car, and waste the two of them. Steal the police Ferrari, and find a respray shop. The shops will fix your Ferrari.
Now start the Police missions, and watch your damage. If you start to get beat up and smoky, find the respray and fix yourself. It’s possible to get up to level 12 pretty easily this way.
Oh, and don’t be shy about shooting out criminals’ tires.
