I’ve been playing Vice City off and on since it came out. However, after my last “mexican” mission (IIRC, stealing the drugs from the Cubans, they then blow up the boat Rico is in and you have to make it back) I haven’t had a thing to do! Its not giving me any more missions.
I’m generating revenue at the porno studio and at the Vercitti Mansion. I have also just recently bought the car dealership and Pole Position(?? Strip Club) but I am not generating revenue at them, nor has the game given me any “missions” for either of them. I can enter a race from the car dealership, and thats it.
Am I missing something? Shouldn’t there be more for me to do?
buy everything, you are still missing many properties. The strip club involves geing in the back room, and the car dealership involves stealing a list of cars (there will be several)
To earn money from the Auto dealership you have to steal all of the cars tehy have listed. Go down to the garage at the bottom of the ramp. There is a sign with a list of cars to steal. Go off and steal them, and you will get new neat cars to drive, and earning from that site.
The Pole Position is kind of dumb. To earn money from it. You need to go into the back booth and watch a lady dance for like five miniutes. After that, you are done.
Also, look for other spots to buy. The malibu club. The printing presses. The taxi cab company. The port. Keep your eyes open as you drive around for icons that signify you can buy the property.
My husband and I got to that same point, and just spent days and days and days doing cab missions, selling “ice cream”, doing whatever we could to make more money until we could buy more property. Eventually, IIRC someone will call you on your cell phone, or you’ll get more missions from the properties you buy.
When I get bored with the game I steal a fast motorcycle and try to do all the insane jumps on a given island. It is a pretty good way to build up cash too since you can get up to 600 bucks or so for successful insane jumps.
Or do the ambulance mission (150 health), vigilante mission (150 armor), firefighter mission (fireproof), find all the packages (secret vehicle!), do all the rampages!
All the above missions require you to finish level 12, I think. and all of them pay pretty well, especially at the higher levels.
The downtown ammunation should have a shooting range if you’ve done enough missions. It’s only $500 each time, but since it took me so many tries to get to 45 points, it adds up.
Have you done the pizza boy missions? Grab the moped behind any of the pizza stores and go deliver them. Get through level 10, and your armor goes up to 150.
Hie thee forth to www.gamefaqs.com, and look up Vice City. But basically, you’ve got plenty of properties left to buy (the Malibu Club missions are an absolute not-nice person; I don’t think I’ll ever get through the race that’s one of them). I believe it’s the Print Works property that’ll kick off the final arc of the actual plotline missions.
Yeah, the race at the Malibu is a pain in the ass. Only way I beat it was to stick right behind the other car, pass him on the first hard turn, then watch him get rammed by a police car. After recovering from that, he got hit by two more and flipped. Only way I did it.
i only beat that race when he flipped also. The motorcycle race was the only race i beat on the first try (well, first real try, the first time i wanted to see if you could shoot the other cyclists. You can’t!). The race games suck since i cant drive and am prone to hitting idiot cop cars and cops causing my wanted stars to skyrocket.
That race was very hard; I watched Mr. Bunny try it like fifty times and was all like “Oh here, let me try it”, thinking I could do it. I failed like three times and lost patience with the game and went in the bedroom and sulked. What the fuck do I need to beat you for asshole, that’s why I need a get away driver!
The pizza missions were fun. I also had a great passion for just running around, killing people and taking their money, but then again I’m a little sick in the head.
To get the final two missions you have to own six (6) properties, including the Print Works. I recommend the Malibu Club and Film Studio missions, as these are quite varied – although very difficult in the case of the former. Once you own all six, and have completed the missions for them, the final two storyline missions will be opened.
bernse, in your ‘stats’ how much of the game do you have complete? I only have 40%.
get the rhino tank & be a vigilante in about an hour you should be able to make a million dollars. gamefaqs.com has a code you can use to make a rhino appear.
If you use any cheat codes, you most likely can’t get 100% in the game, as one of the hidden packages will likely disappear, unless you already have it (on the helipad at the south end of the airport)
Wow, I’m feeling good about that race now. I passed it on my third try or so.
I hear that if you somehow manage to carjack him, that his car is bulletproof. Of course I find that out after I win the race. :smack:
On another note, I think I really am out of things to do. FTR, I don’t have the patience for the vehicle missions (ambulance, fire truck, etc.), don’t really care enough about the hidden packages or the secret vehicle (I’ll just go get it the hard way when/if I feel like it), finished the main storyline, and all the side missions (pay phones, etc.) that I could find.
I got a cell phone call, shortly before finishing the main storyline, that some heavy hitter was coming into town to wipe me out. Was that a reference to Sonny(?) coming in, or was that something else? 'Cause except for your usual POed cops, I haven’t seen anyone else gunning for me.
I do have the race at the stadium to win (beat the demo derby and don’t care about the motorcycle jumps), but other than that, I think I’m done.
