Grandma got run over by a reindeer -- parody

What are the lyrics to this Christmas song parody? They’ve played it on a local radio station in years past. It goes:

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Tell us every year, you friggin’ nerd!
something something don’t feel bad for Grandma –
That tanked-up bitch got just what she deserved.

Quite humoresque.

Here are the lyrics. It looks like you mis-heard a few of them.

Are you talking about the real lyrics to GGROBAR? Or is this a parody of the original satire?

If you mean the real one:

Chorus:
Grandma got run over by a reindeer
walking home from our house Christmas Eve.
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa,
but as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

She’d been drinking too much egg nog
and we begged her not to go.
But she forgot her medication
and she staggered out the door into the snow.

[lyrics in their entirety, which have been edited]

From memory, more’s the shame…

No, I’m not talking about the original. It’s a raunchy parody about a liquor-drinking, drug-taking, blow-jobbing evil-bitch Grandma who met her demise at the hands of a paid-off-by-Grandpa Santy Claws.

Sorry…never heard that one.

Well, I got one about Grandma getting arrested for DUI here but so far nothing like what you’ve described. However, I am still looking.

You’re looking for Bob Rivers, dude. He’s the responsible.

What’s the name of the song?

I remember a really funny version from 1992, after the election on a local radio station:

George Bush got run over by Bill Clinton
His Christmas won’t be happy '92
George Bush wanted four more years from Santa
But he was bad so Santa said “Screw you!”

Uniball, I searched through Bob Rivers’s site, and though he’s got lotsa good Xmas stuff, I couldn’t find this “Grandma” song. Are you sure he did it?

Well, EVERYTIME I search Napster, I found this parody credited to him.

BTW, it’s GRAMPA, not Grandma.

They’re not ther one’s you wanted, but here are two more.

Grandpa Got Run Over By A Beer Truck - Da Yoopers
Grandpa Got Run Over By A John Deere - Can’t Remember the singer.

Phobia, I believe Grandpa Got Run Over by a John Deere is by Cledus T. Judd. He sings a lot of country parodies.

Ha, I hope no one at work hears me singing along.

Sorry for a semi-hijack – isn’t there another comedy Christmas song sung in a Swedish accent, something like, “Well, I yoost go nuts at Christmas . . .” I wouldn’t bring it up here, but I can’t even remember enough of it to start a coherent new thread. Anybody know it?

Yogi Yorgesson sang I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas. The flip side was Yingle Bells.

Your absolutely right. I gave that CD to a friend and couldn’t remember the artist. She liked country, I hate country, we both liked humorous songs.

if anyone here was still looking for this song here it is, it was on the Opie and Anthony show on the radio. I couldn’t find the lyrics for the song though

I was not looking for it, but I’m glad you did post it. Thanks! Permanently added to my seasonal listening.

Do you know what’s scary? I think I remember reading this thread when it was first posted.
