Another vote here for collounsbury, whose insights and analyses are still spot-on - on a blog site that’s easily Googleable, as well as on Wikipedia. He’s back in good health, or so he reports.
T’heck with december, i wanna know what milossarian thinks about Iraq’s WMD’s these days.
Quite a few of my favorite departed Dopers have already been mentioned, so i’ll just chime in with:
World Eater
He’s still a member, but doesn’t post much anymore. Probably busy.

I didn’t always agree with him, but more often than not he made interesting and smart contributions, and was lots of fun to have in a discussion.
Mockingbird
I know he rubbed a few people the wrong way, but i always liked him.
I also miss the wing-nuts (meant in a generous spirit) from both sides of the political fence, like Aldebaran, Reeder, december, milroyj, etc. They might have been infuriating at times, but they were fun to have around. I’m on record, i think, opposing all of those bannings.
And despite the fact that he’s only just left, i already miss MGibson. I missed his departure thread initially, and only just noticed it. If you’re still reading, i’m sorry you’ve left.
Second that. He could always be counted on for limericks and haiku. My guess is he’s got some business going with the state of Tennessee, if you know what I mean.
Gabriela - I clicked with her sense of humor. I had a question I wanted to ask a couple day’s ago and thought to myself she’d know the answer. I don’t know what happened with her.
ChiefScott - I and many other’s liked his dialog. I don’t really know why he disapeared, because I was gone for for a few years being to ill to use the boards. He disapeared about the time I returned.
I won’t get the signature right. - IAMTHEGODCOWMOO - The older posters will know who I mean.
Sorry for bumping this up but I read every post in it and didn’t see this guy mentioned yet.
I really miss Scott Plaid, actually, and I was really surprised when I once checked his profile just to see he was a guest. No idea why he didn’t re-up. Sure he was a pain in a lot of Dopers’ necks early on but he seemed to be one of those that adapted over time and became fairly well liked. I know I did.
