Great news and some weird stuff

Today is a great day : I’m actually done paying my student loan. Woohoo! The monthly payment itself wasn’t all that much and I think I could’ve paid the loan off a while back but being a true Epicurean, I wanted to enjoy life instead. Anyway, today is my last payment and then I’m debt-free!

Now the strange stuff is that some weirdo followed me to work this morning. I walk to work every day (a 20-minute walk) and this freak followed me the last 15 minutes or so. He actually came right up to the door of the building. I gave him a dirty look and promptly told security about him. He disappeared PDQ. I won’t let that freak intimidate me, that’s for sure. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow if it was just a one-time thing or if he intends to do this every day. He seemed harmless, though, but I am not taking any chances. (I bet they said Ted Bundy seemed harmless, too, and look what happened there.) Better to be safe than sorry.

So, how y’all doing this morning?

I’ll bet he found out you were a newly wealthy woman and decided to get him some of that! And I think it’s nice that we both have enemies, it’s rather “bonding” don’t you think?

Although, you know I told you that it was about time you starting stalking somebody not vice-versa! tsk-tsk.

Right now I’m trying to work but not having much sucess. Too many interruptions! So, I’ll guess I’ll have to stay up all night and/or wake up ridiculously early just to get something done.

And I’m feeling rather down right now. Still unsure wether to discuss it with the rest of y’all or not. :frowning:

But other than feeling down, I’m happy. If that makes sense.

Wow, congratulations. That’s a great feeling, isn’t it!? My husband and I only 4 more payments on a small bill and then the only things we’ll owe on will be the house and the cars (none of which “count” in my estimation!)

Congratulations again.

Now, start putting that money you would’ve been putting on the debt into a nice savings account or mutual fund!

Pepper spray puts a stop to most following quite quickly. That is, of course, unless the follower is on acid.
BTW, congrats on the loan. I’ve still got about $20K to go. My wife has about $22K. Seems like it’s going to last forever.

Congrats on beating the debt, Globe-trotter!

Globe-Trotter = Out of Debt

Out of Debt = Extra Money

Extra Money = Drinks on Globey at next Doper fest

Free Drinks = Happytater!

tater–you have enemies?

bethie, yes indeedy! Hard to believe, huh? Although I’m not sure if this later person is more an enemy or a stalker. I will explain later.

I am still waiting for the newly rich Globe-Trotter to send me an extravagent gift.

Surely, this means she’ll be able to make it to AmsterDope over Paddy Weekend. Right?

That was my understanding of the situation. Plus, she’ll have enough to buy first round!

Actually, in regards to the Amsterdope, it’s more a question of time than money. You see, this being North America, we’re not as civilised as Europe in the vacation department. We’re supposed to work until we drop dead. Vacation? Merely an afterthought. Need I say that this sucks? Not to worry, I fight this way of thinking every step of the way!

Congrats hon! I’m still thinking a trip out west is a great way to spend your extra money.

Wow Globie! Congrats on paying off your student loans. I’m really impressed and … and …

Wait a second. This is Canadian money we’re talking about.

Never mind.

[sub]Seriously - Good for you![/sub]
