The west Texas town of Tuna finally got the word that Bill Parcell is going to coach the Cowboys and they aren’t impressed.
At least that’s the way it seems from this article in the Ft. Worth Star-Tellegram: Big fish makes no ripples in a small pond
I especially like Coach Chassie’s response to Parcell making $14 million.
Gotta love west Texans.
Jim

Well, come on down, darlin’. Kick off yer shoes and sit a spell.

BTW, Jim, you do realize that Tuna is fictitious… don’t you?
Do I get a Big Texas Welcome?
Uh, yeah, Zy. They even kinda mentioned that in the article. Small detail really.
Yeah, jazzmine. We’ll throw you a party if you like, hon.

Well, it wasn’t that obvious in the article!
Everyone in Texas knows Tuna is real. Just not an actual place. But we all know the characters or people like them.
Nononononoo… no.
Tuna is a real place, except they spelled the name wrong. Tuna is actually Tulia, Texas.
Just trust me. I have been there.
Same thing with Arlen. Oh, it’s real, alright.
