So I watched last night’s episode on pins and needles. I mean, seriously. I’m glad I had digested so much because my stomach was clenching and unclenching through the episode. My roommates laughed their asses off because I was so surprised by the episode and I had a rather dramatic reaction to it. I mean, after the major event I sat there with my hand over my mouth trying to figure out how I felt about what just happened.
Yeah. I thought it was pretty well done. Of course, the tease suggesting Dr. Webber had a heart attack was just that, a tease.
There was a bit of a nonreaction after the “event.” One minute that was happening, the next everybody is waiting to see who comes out of the elevator. :dubious:
I thought George handled things well with Bailey. Nice touch on the baby name, but I saw that coming.
And Christine Ricci is lookin’ good. Especially in a tank top.
Yep, I saw it (and the previous week’s episode too).

Of course, I wasn’t expecting the bomb to go off like that… I was sure that they were going to just carry it away and that would be the end of that. Didn’t the bomb squad guy read the paper for that day the previous morning?
It was nice to see the “dream” sequence that George had at the start of the previous episode “mirrored” at the end of this episode.
With 4 guys watching the show we’ve all claimed one of them as our own. I called dibs on Meredith and then the roomie who claimed Izzy up and claims Christina Ricci. We called Shenanigans and paused the show as we debated if this was a legal claim. I forget the outcome, we were too busy laughing to really care.
Yeah, and the moment where Bailey tells George to stop looking at her “Va-Jay-Jay” was a much needed momentary stress breaker.
If you know someone is walking down a hallway carrying potentially explosive items in his hand, I wouldn’t go out to take a look.
The bomb squad people would have put that thing into some sort of bombproof case right away and wheeled it out.
If the explosion was so big to make the bomb squad tiny little pieces, why did Meredith escape any injuries aside from a cut or two. There should have been glass flying all over the place or pieces of plaster or something. It’s likely she would have suffered some ear damage since that would have been a very loud noise.

Is it even true that a bazooka shell is even explosive like that at all? If so, how do actual soldiers load the weapon and carry around the munitions? My understanding is that a shell like that could be handled reasonably roughly without exploding.
I understand that it’s a homemade shell and all … but was any of this explained at all? Or was it on par with the ever-popular “car rolls of a cliff/collides with another vehicle and delivers a nuclear explosion upon impact” meme?
William George Bailey Whatever. I think either Webber or Webster
The ep didn’t do too much for me - too over-the-top. I like the quiet moments better, one on one with each other or the patients, like with the kiss bit.
Is it even true that a bazooka shell is even explosive like that at all?
Is it possible it has something to do with 1) being homemade and 2) It had been “shot” out of the bazooka or whatever. Could that have rendered it unstable?
Knows nothing about ammunition or explosives,

I loved the contrast between the shower scene in George’s dream last week and the shower scene in George’s real life this week. Nicely done.
When McDreamy keeps asking “Where is she?”, I didn’t for a minute think he was asking about Addison. I actually thought he was asking about Bailey. The look of complete disinterest in his eyes as Addison was hugging him really does mean the end is near for that marriage.
I totally knew the bomb squad guy was gonna be pink mist the minute they showed him walking in slo-mo.
BTW, the baby’s full name is William George Bailey Jones.
I liked the Chief’s wife commenting "That wasn’t the ‘she’ he was looking for.
While watching, though, I knew immediately
that once Bailey’s husband had survived and Bazooka Guy had survived and Meh-redith had survived, that Bomb Squad Guy was toast. I knew the wouldn’t be able to stand having no one die.
It was nice, though, that Meredith thought of Izzy and George, if only for a moment.
