Would an involuntary orgasm, once you know that’s what’s happening, really cause you to crash your car?
Why redo the dead boy’s face when the parents loved him the way he was? It seems like it was just to serve the purposes of the plastics doc.
Why, oh why, would Meredith sleep with George? Does she really think she cares about him that way, and doesn’t she know it would break his heart knowing how he feels about her? I like George, but it really should have been a “I don’t want to ruin our friendship” kind of interaction, much as I hate that cliche.
Possibly. Depending on the situation. Interstate travel or perhaps just caught in a position where she couldn’t get off the road immediately.
The boy wanted it done. He was adamant about it and it was his wishes with the parent’s permission.
Meredith needs to feel loved. Her mother’s got alzheimers. Her father left them both. And she’s still lusting over McDreamy. McSteamy toyed with her “beast”. And now, George told her the magic words. He promised her he wouldn’t walk away, he’d care for her, he’d blah blah blah.
Last night’s episode was a nice change of pace after the 2 week nail biter.
Just watched it on tivo. Damn, that last scene was well-done. The actor who plays George is great. I thought this was a much better episode than the stupid bomb one.
I’m just finding out that the plastic surgeon WASN’T played by Leonardo Dicaprio (I figured he’d just been working out a lot). George is great though, I’m always pulling for him to get some play.
And I like George, too, but I think it’s over between Derek and Addison (there was that scene of the two of them sitting apart in their trailer), and now Meredith is going to sleep with George, and next week I can see Derek coming after her and telling her he’s sorry and wants to make it up to her.
The DiCaprio-lookalike guy really pointed out to the Sheperds that their marriage is over. I’m thinking Addison will leave, and Derek will realize he wants to be with Meredith.
I don’t want George to get hurt.
Exactly. I see the point above about Meredith wanting a man who will always stay, but she should know that she isn’t ready for that. But I guess realistically self-awareness is not as important in the face of what you want.
Absolutely, and seeing her truly smile at the kid when he talked about her eyes. She usually doesn’t have such a gentle bedside manner.
I would have SWORN it was DiCaprio. When I saw the commercials during the week before I kept thinking “why aren’t they making a big deal out of him guest starring?”. Anyone ever seen him before?
I don’t think they ever mentioned the cause, nor the cure. Which I found a bit frustrating (maybe that’s one difference between this show and House, which also recently had a patient with involuntary orgasms).
I thought he looked like a version of DiCaprio who’d actually completed puberty.
George doesn’t pay any more attention to what Meredith is actually feeling than Meredith does to George. That was stupid on his part, and cruel on hers.
I love Christina and Burke dancing. And I loved his “I am Preston Burke” speech. Of course, I loved it coming from television character Preston Burke. If anyone said that to me in real life, I think I’d get back on the phone with my landlord.
I also loved the scene outside the suturing room. “Why is he suturing his own face?”
“To turn me on?”?
When I look at other photos of him, I don’t really see it, but during the show I saw it big time. Like maybe someone DiCaprioed him up? Maybe still photos of him don’t show it? I think it’s kind of like the Johnny Depp / Skeet Ulrich comparison. If you see them out of context they’re easy to confuse, but side by side, not so much.
