First a question: I missed a few episodes last season. Was that the same guy that Addison had previously had an affair with or some new guy?
I liked the scene with Alex and the cancer lady; him chasing her into the bathroom, her deciding she wanted to live after all, and the great line about getting physical with a patient.
I liked seeing Callie’s role get expanded. I like her and I like how she’s changed George’s character. I’m hoping she becomes a full time cast member.
The brain tumor guy was a little contrived but it worked.
Nice to see Diahann Carroll and Richard Roundtree working. (On a side note, Carroll recently appeared in an online parody of the show.) The parallel is clear; Christina and Burke have the same relationship that his mother and father have. Based on this I’m predicting a period of trouble between the two women, followed by a near break-up of Christina and Burke, followed by a reconciliation - first between the women and then between Christina and Burke. It’ll probably take all season to work its way through.
I can’t be the only one who thinks Meredith is a whiny, self-centered biatch, can I? One that does not deserve to have tow guys panting after her. Give me more Sandra Oh!
And I am still of the opinion that Izzie belongs in jail.
I love Miranda Bailey. She was great is slapping down Alex outside the ER, and then apologizing to him at Joe’s. She was even better sitting at the table with Addison, trapped with a drunken co-worker (what did Addison keep calling her anyway?)
Mark must be one hell of a guy. He can travel from Boston to Seattle in minutes, and sober up Addison even quicker. She should keep him.
Best line of the night (for me)
Richard to Derek: I know a little something about affairs. I know a little something about affairs with women named Grey.
And Preston Burke’s father is Shaft? I can dig it.
Yeah, b ut Yang’s Anatomy just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
Drunk Addison is fun. Calling Bailey Amanda, good stuff.
It’s only been 2 days since the prom. So McSteamy dropped everything in New York and flew out when Addison called him. Or, has he been there all along? Maybe Addison has been seeing him all this time.
I love the scene with the Chief and Callie in the basement. Also, McD’s look to Mark then to Addison then back to Mark was great. Then “I feel better”.
Please let her choose McDreamy. They make a much better pair and Finn can go on to someone more well-adjusted. Although he is falling in my estimation in that he even wants to be part of the game.
I opened this thread to ask a question and got distracted. Does George still live in the house Grey and Izzy or did he move out? I’m thinking Callie taking the fall for the panties may be the writer’s way of making it look less implausible for her to move in.
Yeah, George is still there (it would be kind of tough for him and Callie to live in the basement of the hospital.) And I think her taking the rap for the panties was just showing that she is wanting to be a more solid part of George’s life. She Did take food over to Izzie when George was trapped in quarantine last week.)
Hey, Callie is the kind of girl who brings Izzie food when her boyfriend is at work, and Finn is the kind of guy that brings Izzie food when he thinks his girlfriend is working. Do you know what this means? Izzie is gonna be gaining some weight.
Why? All I’ve seen were the first two episodes of season 1 and the first two episodes of this season. Didn’t her boyfriend die on the operating table? What exactly did she do wrong?
Even after he explicitly told her not to do it-- that it wouldn’t be right. I think knowing the woman he loves was criminally negligent killed him. Though I may be the only one who thinks the doe-eyed, softly-lit, endearing baker probably responisble for the death of two people because of her selfishness.
Biggirl, who is the second dead person? Not that I disagree with you.
One thing about the whole “resolution” in Addison’s hotel room - Derek now doesn’t have to deal with the consequences of his skanky exam room romp with Meredith. Since Mark is back in the picture, he has absolved himself from being unfaithful. I think that’s pretty cheap. I wish Addison could have taken the high road (for at least a couple of more episodes).
Oh yeah, that one was ripped from today’s headlines. A real-life incident with a tree like that was featured on one of the TLC “99 Things Removed from the Human Body” specials.
She convinced him to agree by saying she would never forgive him for making her fall in love with him. So techinically he did say yes.
The other recipient who was ready on the table for the heart that Denny got? Perhaps he was able to hold out for the next heart.
He and Denny were presumably in the same level of direness in need for the heart, but he was booked on the list 17 seconds sooner. So if Denny could have held out on the LVAD a little longer, maybe that guy did too.
Loved jealous George and attempting to flirt George. When did he and Meredith start speaking again and what did Meredith do to piss him off in the first place. I came into the show in the middle of last season.
As much as I love a full-figured woman shaking it in her drawers and as much as I loved George’s reaction to seeing Callie and the Chief together, wouldn’t anyone’s first reaction in Callie’s situation be to throw on some sweats?
