Grey's Anatomy 5/07

This episode was a very emotional one for me. When we found out how catastrophic the pregnant woman’s injuries were, the whole tone of the show changed.

I felt so sorry for the doctor who caused the accident.

I like the developing relationship with Grey and the veterinarian. And I loved how she told McDreamy that he couldn’t call her a whore.

And whats-his-name sort of redeemed himself when he got the baby out…

Yes, I cheered for Meredith’s speech to Derek in the stairwell. It was definitely an appropriate reaction to his treatment of her. However, I thought Derek was written in a whole new way from previous episodes. Where does he get the right to get all pissy with her? He lied about having a WIFE!

The scenes from the 2 part season finale seem enticing, too.

I half wished Meredith would slap McDreamy’s face but was proud at the same time that she took the high road and handled it with dignity.

Is anyone else getting a little tired of Izzy’s crush on Denny?

Oh, and I thought the whole thing about the surgeon not washing her hands was hillarious. It’s such a true depiction of how women can be so catty.

I really dislike the George character, even more since he’s cut his hair. He always seems like he’s about to start crying, no matter what the situation is. He’s reminiscent to me of the role that Ralph Macchio played in the Outsiders, the wounded puppy dog but still pet of the group role. It serves little purpose.

Other than that, I wish that Izzy would curl up in my hospital bed……
