Grey's Anatomy; Sacre Coeur!

I’m ashamed to admit that this crossed my mind also  For some reason I found it kind of odd and squicky that we actually got to see him sliding her undies off.

Oh, and when Yang and Burke are talking in his room she says"have you told Derek? " and he says “not yet”. Did I miss something? I got the impression that the surgery was a success. What is he keeping from Derek?

Glad someone else mentioned this. I wasn’t sure if I was imagining it or not.

Ditto those who mentioned Merideth was the dog with dual ownership in that last scene. “Here girl! whistle Heeeere girl!”

I too am hoping someone can clue us all in on what Burke hadn’t told Derek yet. I missed the first 15 mins or so.

I thought Christina asked Burke if he had told Shephard yet - because I keep thinking that’s the Chief’s name. (I thought that she was alluding to the fact that he sent her to go check on Denny. That was the reason he was coming back to the hospital - that scary phone call he (Burke) got from Izzie.) Because at that point, the suck-ups were all still on time-out, and Christina didn’t know that Izzie confessed to the whole thing and quit.

But now I don’t know what the hell happened there in Burke’s room. Maybe letting Derek know that there isn’t the expected amount of mobility in the hand? And if Burke can’t operate anymore, he can still teach, or be like Adam Arkin’s injured neurosurgeon character in Chicago Hope and instantly change fields.

Yeah. The question was about whether Burke had told Derek yet that the surgery wasn’t entirely successful…that he had a rather severe tremor in his right hand.

Argh. I watched that early this morning before getting to work, and it was a bit much.

I’m maybe a little hypersensitive when it comes to drama, and it’s not terribly uncommon for Grey’s Anatomy to make me get a little damp-eyed from time-to-time, usually near the end. This was just ugly, though. A double dose, chain-yanking out of the gate, and from so many different angles. I’m just glad no-one was around to observe, it would have been embarrassing if I watched it in the evening when the folks I try to keep the Y-chromosome front up for are around.

Fuuuuuuuuck.

Sandra Oh got me twice just with her face. (Especially Yang’s one-on-one with the Chief. Choke!)

I dinna think so – it seemed like she found her “fight” at the end, there.

I didn’t mind the feint with Denny’s recovery. I was pissed off with the Meredith/Shepherd thing, though – mainly because I really liked the thing with the dead dog. “He was a good dog.” Past tense. It was nice, then it was sick, now it’s gone, quite sad, but over. Done. Eyes on the future!

I would have liked to have seen that whole thing wrapped up and something else dug up for her to come unglued over. (Like her vet accidentally taking a fatal overdose of ketamine rectally. Jesus that character bugs me.)

Rule #1. On TV or in movies there is never a wet spot or jism running down someones leg.

Rule #2. You never see a hint of an male erection or a woman sticking to her seat she’s so wet.

Shame, that.

I need to get a full copy of these rules

Well, and she says “He really wasn’t my dog for very long”, again making the dog = McDreamy, the way she did when she said “I did, I loved him so very much”, ostensably about the dog.

Can anyone say “pregnancy scare”? Would they do that again after Christina’s storyline? And the idea that she had met McDreamy and thought he was The One she would spend the rest of her life with–could she really handle that?

It seems like there are rumors out there that an intern is off the show–would Katherine Heigl really leave already?

I can’t decide if I like this series or not. I think I’d *really * like it, except for two things:

  1. The Meredith - Derek relationship. Glad to see I’m not the only one on this…it’s over. Stay away from each other. Move on. Nothing to see here, folks. Stop hurting the other people in your life. (and everybody on the show is a commitmentphobe except Izzy, and they killed her boyfriend. Nice. )

  2. The music. For god’s sake, can’t we have a dramatic moment without some horribly whiny dreck pounding on the soundtrack 3 times per show?

And why does everyone have bloodshot eyes all the time? Sure, it’s probably realistic, but it makes me hate Meredith & Derek even more.

I’ve heard the comments that an intern is out of the program but not off the show. So maybe she will still be working at the hospital in some capacity or go back to modeling but still live with Meredith and George and not be seen as often? I heard something about the actress having a movie coming out, maybe she wanted to free up some time for movies?

I’m going to sort of highjack my own thread here…

In response to jsc1953 comment about everyone’s bloodshot eyes, I’ve noticed that too. But what makes me dislike Meredith is the dumbass look she always has on her face. I’ve mentioned this before; I think she looks like a dullard with her mouth always hanging half open. I half expect to see a bubble above her head that says “… duuuuuuh”. Coincindentally, I saw the actress that plays her on an old episode of Friends before GA came on Mon. night and she looked adorable. I realize it was a few years ago, but she looked like a different person. So guys, some of you have weighed in on Sandra Oh; what do you think of Ellen Pompeo ?

Definitely meh; not worth the trouble. She’s badly needs eye makeup (and Visine) and (as noted) to close her mouth once in a while. And years of therapy.

Well, as Meredith, sure. But as herself? Put her in my “yes” column, right below Lauren Graham.

Why is it that the other two women interns always seem to have their hair pulled back when they’re working but Meredith always has it loose in her face? The only time she ever seems to pull it back is for surgery and she is required to cover it all up for that. All the other mentioned stuff about her bugs me but that’s what bugs me the most.

Not much. I think she’s actually more attractive in character as Meredith than when she’s all glammed up, but generally I think she’s pretty in a dull sort of way that doesn’t hold my attention at all.

She was very good on her two L&O eps. Lookswise, meh. Too thin for my taste in real life and in the show’s loose scrubs. Interesting how everyone else’s scrubs bag but Izzy’s are nice and fitted around her boobage.

 On the commentaries for the TV show Scrubs, they talk about how for the first season, they used real scrubs from a medical supply place, but for the second season, they got a designer to specially make them and tailor them, so the tops fit the women better across the boobage area and the bottoms fit snugly and are cut low.

Question: did anyone else see what looked like scratches all over Meh’s legs during sex? Just me?

Ewwwwwww! Ya mean like Courtney Love style?
