There’s an old knitting superstition that if you knit your hair into something you give as a gift, it binds you to that person.
Apparently, some people really, really want to be bound to their pets.
I usually end up knitting cat fur into my projects just because there’s so much of it around. I wonder how many people I bound to my cats this Christmas?
What about the bird lovers? I don’t see any companies offering to make me a feather vest? (thankfully…)
Hmph! There’s my grumble du jour…the world thinks that the only pets out there are dogs and cats!
You and me both. I just like to knit while watching tv, so I decided to knit scarves for the homeless shelter, and they will all come complete with bonus cat hair! W00t!
