I just finished my season 4.0 re-watch and I’m casting my bet on Madame Airlock herself, Laura Roslin. There’s a lot going on with the mysticism and visions that are tough to explain without it. She was on the rebel basestar when D’Anna mentions “4 in the fleet,” and I’m willing to believe that D’Anna’s fake out in “The Hub” might just be a double fake out, designed to put us off the trail and fake the viewers out.
If I’m wrong though…
I can’t stop thinking about the whole Cylon reproduction plan. It would seem that there are 3 babies that are the product of cylon parents.
Nicky…Son of Chief & Cally. Chief is a cylon. Cally’s human.
Hera…Daughter of Athena & Helo. Helo’s human, Sharon’s the toaster.
Unborn kid from the union of Caprica Six & Tigh. Both cylons.
So…which kid is super special? All three? Or is there something else going on? On Caprica, the Cylons set up labs to try to reproduce with no progress. And yet in the years since the original attack, 3 cylons have kids? Maybe the final model is Helo. That would leave Nicky as the true hybrid, if final fivers & original cylons can reproduce.
I don’t think they would give us a Tigh/Six pregnancy unless it is deliberately trying to tell us something. It could be something sinister, like the cylons deciding that they don’t need humans if they can reproduce on their own. The ‘Watchtower’ four seem to be a bit more human than the other models…and the other models were programmed not to think about them. I tend to think that the original plan was to wipe out most of humanity, and then start fresh together. The final five were designed to make that possible, by showing everyone how similar they all are. The ultimate architect of this plan just might be a human (imperious leader, anyone?) and my guess on his identity is Baltar, making him the Cylon ‘God.’ If Baltar’s able to program backstories onto models like Boomer or Tigh, he could have done it to himself as well, erasing his own memory of the plan and how everything went down…he ultimately sees himself as humanity’s savior.
Something about Baltar’s confession in “The Hub” stands out to me. He mentions a biblical style flood, and then says “No one blames the flood” in regards to the destruction it causes. Since the flood washes away the past, and opens the way to the future, it’s even looked at as an overall positive. Granted, in this case the flood is nuclear devastation, but the end result is the same.
Or it’s Lee’s Caprican girlfriend from “Black Market.”
I’m guessing that we’ll find out sooner rather than wait till the last episode. In fact, I expect to either find out tonight, or next week.
