Liberal gun toter… I have a Walther PPK now. It is a real piece though, and I would probably do better bashing an intruder in the head with it, than trying to shoot them. I learned my love of guns at the NRA. It was a BLAST working there, no pun intended.
The Gun Control act of 1968, the Import Ban of 1992, Brady Bill of 1993 and the AWB of 1996.
Your gun rights may not have been affected in any way but make no mistake, there have absolutely been limitations placed on gun ownership over the past decades.

Pro-union, old school hard core left. Labour party member from when I was 13 up to the betrayal of Clause IV socialism. Current owner of a M1 Garand and a Mossberg pistol grip 12 gauge.
Tree-hugging enviro-wacko conservationist liberal over here, who carries a .45.
About -2, -2 according to the Political Compass, so I guess mostly center. In the past I’ve voted for more (D) than ® candidates.
Thanks to my C&R license, I’m a big fan of military surplus. If a rifle’s been dragged through the mud at the Battle of Stalingrad, I’m a fan. Opposed to any eroding of rights.
Stop in at The Liberal Gun Club forum and see if you like it there. Somebody might go off on an anti Palin rant, or somesuch, now and then, but mostly it’s pretty calm and collected. We’ve got everything from outright communists to moderates, and even a republican or two, and we all (mostly) get along fine.
I’m somewhat left of center on most issues, but have a license to carry and do, on occasion.
Mostly I shoot holes in paper, and own more pistols than my wife knows about.
PM sent.
I have a stainless steel PPK/S. I bought it in 2003 and still haven’t fired it. When I had friends up here to shoot with, we were blasting away with other parts of my collection. Now they’ve moved away, and it’s kind of boring to shoot alone. I’m sure I can drag my roommate to the range when it warms up and dries out a bit.
I just dig the James Bondness of the PPK/S. I used to have a blue one in the '80s.
-8, -7 here.
I’ll bet you have the scar from the hammer bite to prove it, too.
Like you, I think it’s an awesome looking piece, but my understanding is that it doesn’t quite live up to the appearance. Maybe someday when I have $700 or so burning a hole in my pocket I’ll get one, but that day is a ways away, if ever.
I don’t remember ever being bitten by the one I had in the '80s.
700 simoleons? They’ve gone up a bit.
