Ich wohne in einem einfamilian haus in einem stadt.
That’s about all I can remember from German.
Immer noch kein Baby!
I just checked and she is at work again today.
It is only a matter of time.
I have a large plastic tarp in my car trunk to throw on the floor, my Swiss Army knife to cut the cord and some wet naps on my desk next to the Post-It notes. I also wrote down the number 911 in German next to the phone.
I am ready in case she goes into labor.
The size she is, I am betting this baby will be 28 pounds 6 ounces upon birth.
You need something to clamp the cord on each side of where you will cut, and I suggest a bale or three of beach towels. Birthin’ babies is messy, so I’ve been told. I’ve only ever done it in rehearsal.
Playing catcher for a healthy, full term tricycle motor as downloaded by a healthy mom is something on my EMT bucket list.
I made oatmeal today and spent no money. Yay! Then I got a really vicious headache. Boo! But rapid release Tylenol (pre-drilled for your satisfaction) works well. Yay!
Now I have a thousand things to get done. sigh
- copyedit bro’s website
- finish my profile on a jobsite
- apply for as many Dallas jobs as I can
- figure out what I’m going to take with me
- deposit a check
- take the dog somewhere so she doesn’t explode
Do I get to take a nap at some point?
I showed up at the clinic where some lovely woman who knew NOTHING about HIPAA had me yell my life story to her down the hallway. Including asking me what my name was three times and my date of birth. Then, after all that and more of my life story broadcast publicly she said they couldn’t see me without a referral.
So, I went to health services to get a referral and the doctor that saw me only works in Fridays.
I wonder how Soapy’s phone-terview went
Heat! Heat! Hot water!
Yay for heat and hot water!!
I made a ham-n-noodle casserole for supper - it wasn’t bad. In fact, I’m pretty well stuffded. And now I’m going to knit the night away.
My Dad just phoned me up to say my Uncle’s died- his brother. We weren’t close (he lived in Australia for a start), but it was totally out the blue- apparently he was just being picked up from the airport on the way back from visiting one of his kids, and suddenly dropped dead in the car. Was in his early 70s maybe, not very old.
I was having a fairly good day, up 'til then- now I feel a bit rubbish, have a nasty headache, and I’m going to bed.
Those bastards at the property management company that watches over The House Formerly Known As The VunderLair are pissing me off royally. They are wanting me to sign the same paperwork For. The. Third. Time.
I think I will categorically refuse this time, and make a corporate suit deal with me instead of the local yokel contractor. I want to hear it from them directly why they are so incompetent that their files aren’t closed, when the bank tells me my file is closed. What can they do to me? Foreclose?
My Dad’s brother passed away today also, Filbert - it was expected though as he was in hospice care at home. My Dad is now the last of his generation left.
I’ve had a nasty cold, been trying to hang in there but feeling miserable. The heat here is NOT helping either. LOL Hopefully the weather will change and temps go down come Thursday or at least that is what the forecasters are claiming.
Hope everyone is doing okay. Prayers and hugs for those that need em.
{{{Herbs}}}, {{{Nutty}}}
Herbs and Nuts I’m so sorry. Your uncles, y’all and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Heh. Herbs and Nuts sound like cereal ingredients.
Yay for heat and water LiLi! Hope all the sick younguns feel better.
I made jambalaya for dindin. YUM!
It’s ReboDad’s 88th birthday today!
I made him one of his favorite dinners - poke chops, rice-n-gravy, green beans and black-eyed peas.
And French Silk Pie instead of cake because he asked for it.
Phouka - hang in there! Austin is lovely this time of year!
I’m sorry for your losses, **Nutty **and Herbs.
I’m glad you got heat and water, LiLi!
How does he smell?
House sitting for my “just friend” while she’s on a trip.

That would depend on whether he’s wet or not.

Congratulations to ReboDad.
Good morning! It’s well day, and not a moment too soon, as far as I’m concerned. I’m expecting a call around 8 to tell me they’re on the way. Can’t wait to have sand-free water at a decent pressure.
{{{tarra}}} and {{{Filbert}}}
**Rebo **- my Uncle Mike turned 90 last month - he’s my oldest living relative by 12 years. I just now did the math to figure that out. wow… anyway, if you have any of the french silk pie left over, you know my address.
It’s in the 30s at the moment, but we’re promised a lovely day. I want to work outside, but I can’t get too involved till the well guys are done and gone. Guess I can rake to start. rah.
Happy Wednesday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 53 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 84. Normal temps are returnin’.
Happy belated ReboDad birthday!
I get to sit in on yet again another Webinar. Hate that word! This one promises to be two hours long. ICK!
Hope the well problem is not too expensive MOOOOOOM.
Now I need more caffiene and should consider sustenance for rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
Blurf[sup]2[/sup]. Damned dogs started stampeding around 0400. Yeah, I’m an earlybird, but there is a point where it’s too early even by my standards.
I’m really itching to pick a fight with the property management company. Make my day.
Going early as well - asleep at 2 am, up at 6:30 getting ready for the Verizon Fios guy to show between 8am and noon. I haven’t had decent television in years.
FCM if you are in the neighborhood Friday I might be available. I am taking Thursday & Friday off to deal with a variety of domestic issues. PM me if you want to try to hook up.
