Well, I never answer these kinds of threads but here I go! I’ve never had a problem having sex with the women I’ve been with while they were their period. I guess I’ve even become welcome to it in a way. For some reason, the intercourse squicks me out more than the oral sex. I have ABSOLUTELY no problem going down on a woman during her cycle…I stay very close to the clitoris though.

In my experience, as long as you stay near the clitoris during period-ic oral sex, you don’t even notice things are different.
I hate sex during my period. My husband doesn’t like it much either - we’ve done it a few times because we were in a long-distance relationship for a year, and when you’re only seeing one another once every month or two, you’re not skipping sex in those three days. But now we pretty much skip it - I’m off the Pill now since we’re trying to get pregnant, which means my periods are longer and much more painful, plus I bloat big-time (I’ve got endometriosis). I don’t want to be around MYSELF during those five days most of the time, much less have anyone else touch me.

Not to hijack the original thread, but your post reminded me of a former gf who also claimed that a good romp would shorten her period. How does they co-relate?

Out of the three partners I’ve been with, due to very short periods of time when we could be together (similar to long distance relationships), there was no way in hell I would skip it. Besides that, the other two gentleman were indeed squicked out by the very thought. In their defense though (and because I’m a nymph too), it is rather too slippery as mentioned and I don’t seem to enjoy it as much. However, this thread has definitely fought my ignorance in that I’ll be employing the ‘bath method’ in the future. Oh, and shopping for Instead. 
Haven’t for years after infertility treatment. It is theorized that sex during your period can complicate endometrosis and infertility.
