H.P. Lovecraft. We need an actor who looks like him.

My best fiend has a short film project in mind, to be shot in the last half of July 2013 in the Bellingham, WA area. The key to the project is finding an actor who looks convincingly like H.P. Lovecraft. The idea is that Lovecraft will appear in some ‘home movies’, so we really need a Doppelgänger. There is pay, but that’s up to my friend who is producing the film. It will depend on the actor’s status (amateur, pro, etc.). Voice isn’t important, as this will be silent footage.

If you know anyone who is interested – and who can stand in for the real Lovecraft – please let me know.

My friend Donald Adams is a great actor, Vancouver based, and I think the resemblance could be brought out…

Gettting one person to resemble all three of those OP photos will be a trick in itself.

I vote with pinkfreud unless you can get a hybrid of Kenneth Branagh and Charlton Heston.

I wonder who played Lovecraft in the fake interview included with the movie The Call of Cthulhu? He was pretty good.

I would note that very few people know what Lovecraft looked like, so I can’t see how close physical resemblance would have to be. Get some skinny guy with a long face.

Yeah, a hybrid of Ben Cross and James Woods would be perfect. But probably out of the OP’s budget range.

I’don’t think the center photo is Lovecraft. (Note in particularl the ears)
