Well, she is a cancer survivor, so there’s that. There’s also her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis. If she’s in physical discomfort I think it’s empathy I’m going to feel for her, not something demeaning.
I don’t get all this vitriol and hate for a candidate’s family. I didn’t agree with Romney’s policies so I expressed myself with my vote. To personally denigrate a man simply because he has different values than I and to insult and fantasize about gross perversions inflicted upon his family certainly does not reflect well about the values and policies one espouses themself. Seems to me this and many other ongoing threads aren’t doing much to fight ignorant attitudes and cheapen a victory we should otherwise rightfully enjoy in full.

Listen, when celebrities make movies, or Millionaires go into politics, or singers make records…they all can expect to have great success and adoration from the public, and they all can expect to have assholes on message boards judging them. Both of those things come with the territory. Ann Romney really doesn’t need a white knight in this thread, trust me. The Romneys went into this game ready to get down and dirty and fight hard. I don’t look at it as protecting Ann Romney. I look at it as Obama’s victory is like we got a new set of drapes and prr, as a way of attention-whoring, is wiping his ass on them. Pointing out that we would prefer the new drapes unbeshitted isn’t protecting the other set of drapes that we left unpurchased at the store.
I don’t think most people are really that upset on Ann Romney’s behalf. I doubt she’s even aware of this MB. Most people are simply shocked by what a creepy asshole prr is. It shouldn’t be a surprise to SDMB regulars, but I suppose he’s outdone himself here.

I agree with you almost entirely politically from what I can remember of other threads. I think your comments can be amusing and thoughtful. However, I think the fantasies would be better off kept to an anonymous blog of some sort. Better still, I think your imagination and time would be better spent attacking targets who are still attempting to subvert the democratic process for their own plutocratic interests. For what it’s worth.
Your contributions on other topics won’t be diminished in my eyes, but based on these topics, other people may just dismiss you as some kind of raving paranoiac (like, Ann having difficulty getting up in the morning isn’t a very polite motif to target at an MS sufferer, however much she support denying any form of treatment to other sufferers).
