The one time I’ve done it, it was much less centralized, (there wasn’t even a moderator who wasn’t playing,) and no public record. Trades might be made in public or private, based mostly on convenience. It was at a camping long weekend sort of a thing, so the packages were given out and the basic rules explained as soon as everyone had gotten on-site, and the submissions and scoring were done on the last evening. Haggling sort of broke out whenever you least expected it - during nature hikes or sunbathing on the rivershore, while dinner was being prepared or eaten, and other times like that.
There was a lot of partnership stuff going on - couples or good friends pooling their knowledge and making trades towards contributing one kickass portfolio. And the distinctions of partnership were interesting… whether everyone else knew that A and B were working together, whether C also thought that she was working with B and got upset when B gave her the cold shoulder at the very end.
Okiee doke. I’ll keep this one pretty simple. Hal Offer #12 for Doctor Who: I’ll trade you a look at either Rule #5 or #11 (your choice) in exchange for a look at Rule #6.
I dont wanna jump right in and trade off what looks like to be one of the best ,if not the best, card in the game as my first action.I am open to offers but they had better be durn good ones.
I must respectfully decline this offer as I think it is rather lopsided. I will counter-offer nesta offer #9: I will show USCDiver rule 10 in exchange for seeing rule 2.
A friendly correction Mad: you can only show rules for which you hold the rule slips, so you can’t show anyone rules 10 or 20, since I didn’t trade you the rule slips themselves, but just showed them to you.
nesta offer #10: I will show Dragoness rule 10 and rule 20 in exchange for being shown rule 18. Offer void where prohibited, or if someone else shows me rule 18 first.
Rule 18 is fairly mundane. Rule 6 on the other hand is ELECTRIC.
Doctor Who Offer #10*: nesta - I will show you rule #6 in exchange for a letter card of your choosing.
Doctor Who Offer #11: nesta - for TWO letter cards of your choosing, I will GIVE you rule #6. (Which you can then easily swap over to Hal, who’s (rightfully) interested in it.)
skipped to 10 for clarity. Also all previous outstanding offers REVOKED.
Rule 6 does sound tempting, but I haven’t yet decided what to do with my letter cards yet, so I’m hesitent to give them up quite yet. I’ll think about it, but cards for seeing rules seems a bad deal this early.
Perhaps you would rather trade looks at rules before you give the slip away?
nesta offer #11:Doctor Who, I will show you rule 17 (it’s a doozy, I promise) for a look at rule 6.
