All letter cards have a starting value of the number of that letter in the alphabet - thus, A = 1, B = 2, M = 13, Z = 26.
Handing in more than one of the same letter causes a decrease in value of 5 points for each one handed in, to a minimum of one, without affecting the value of earlier cards. Therefore, three H’s will have a total value of 12.
Acquiring at least two of four letters next to each other in sequence, (for example, 2 F’s, 3 G’s, 2 H’s, and 2 I’s) will confer an extra bonus of 40 points. You may score for multiple sequences if they are clearly seperated, and you can acquire that many letters.
Spelling G A U D E R E is worth 35 points.
Spelling out “D A R” is worth 12 points. (Ducks and Runs)
Spelling O P A L gets you 25 points.
Spelling “M M P” gets you 20 points.
Spelling M O D is worth 18 points.
Spelling NSFW gets 30 points.
Spelling SDSAB gets 24 points
Spelling TROLL is worth 40 points
Spelling DNFTT is worth 32 points
Collecting the set of all the scrabble tiles of a particular point value (containing more than one letter) is worth… (continued in 14.)
(continued from 13…) The tile value, times double the number of letters in the set. You can score this bonus from multiple sets, but not multiple times for the same set
Each set of all six vowels is worth a bonus of 20, or else 25 more than the set that came before it.
Spelling out your own username is worth 10 points for each letter in it. (Usernames must be those you sign up with at the start of the game.)
For the first eight letters of the alphabet, whoever turns in MOST of them gets a bonus of 100 points, minus ten for each step into the alphabet. In case of a tie on any letter, the bonus is split with a 10% splitting fee for each tieing player. One player may win or tie in multiple boni out of these six.
Turning in a hand without any duplicate letters will double the value of all your spelling boni, or triple the value of the highest ranking one, whichever is better
This space intentionally left blank.
Unless clearly indicated otherwise, a player can only score a bonus from a particular rule slip once. This includes all the spelling boni.

100 points for that, times three (Rule 18), plus the 20 for the full vowel set (Rule 15), plus nine points for Rule 1 means the I Card I got from Doctor Who netted me 329 points. Thanks Doc!
You need to read Rule 15 a little closer:
15. Each set of all six vowels is worth a bonus of 20, or else 25 more than the set that came before it.
Bolding mine. That would be AEIOUY… must be a canadian thing.
My question is this… if NAF1138 couldn’t spell his username because there are no number cards(previously verified through chrisk), are you and Doctor Who allowed to spell your username without a space card?
Okay, let’s get this show on the road! But I’m going to draw it out a bit, and no rulings are final until after a certain amount of time for an appeals process, because I’m not perfect.

At this point, the corporation is liquidated, and NAF1138 gets 49%, or 376 points. Doctor Who keeps the balance, 392 points.
The incorporation papers weren’t clear, but I elected not to give your 49% share precedence over the IOUs from the probate auctions NAF. Hope this isn’t a sore point.

Congratulations, Hal Briston for out-haggling everybody! And thanks to everybody for making this game a success - hope you had as much fun playing as I did running it.
This did sort of seem to drag on. Might be worth thinking about doing the next one either for a weekend or around one week.
It was very interesting how the trades seemed to decrease as the game went on - partly because people were zeroing in on portfolios that they liked, but also, I think, because as players learned more rules they became very hesitant about trading away something that they knew would be a big help to someone else.
When sachertorte first started selling off his assets and rules for points, I truly believed that active players would start trading for points in situations where the usual barter rules weren’t working out. (Which I would’ve been fine with.) Want to get an N from player such-and-such and can’t find something else to trade away that he seems interested in? Offer him 14 points for it maybe.
As for going on too long, yes, it did. The frantic pace of the first few days tells me this would be better suited to a week-long game. Trouble is, that wouldn’t really allow for people dropping out. You’d need to make sure everyone in it was in it all the way.
I’m glad my strategy worked out the way it did…at no time did I pay attention to anyone else’s portfolio. I figured I was going to build up mine as best I could, but not intentionally block anyone from making any deals
