Halo is the best XBOX game out there but i have a problem. I finished Halo on the heroic difficulty in single player mode and on legendary in the Co-Op mode.
Now my problem…
Is it possible to finish Halo on Legendary in single player mode. I am stuck at the 3rd level 
The part where there are lots of enemys dropping out of the dammaged covenant cruiser on to the anti grav elevator. The level is called: The truth and reconcilliation. Can anyone help me on beating this level in legendary mode

It’s a bitch, but it can be done.
You may want to try saving your sniper bullets from the beginning of this level to use here. Plus, as the later waves come, try to time landing frag grenades right into the middle of the drop point right as the covenant is dropped off.
This may be the most difficult part of the game, IMO.
Oh, and different method which may help. Wait for them to land, and head back the way you came, up through the canyon. They will all follow you there, and they have to hit a bottleneck in the canyon to get to you. Having them all coming out in front of you helps, as part of the bitch of where they are dropped off is that you can quickly become surrounded.
Wait for them to hit that bottleneck – Grenades and Assault rifle, mow 'em down!
Getting through that area is a cakewalk compared to the fight you’ve got when you finally do get aboard the cruiser…
Primarily, I used the sniper rifle, plasma pistol, and lots of grenades. As mouthbreather mentioned, there is a nice bottleneck in the entry canyon, with a big rock that’s perfect for hiding behind. The only enemies which will actually come looking for you if you’re back there are the grunts and jackals. Grunts are easy enough to kill, and a charged-up plasma pistol will make the jackals easy enough to kill off. Better, though, is to simply kill everyone as they gather at the canyon entrance and mill about.
Once a wave has been taken out, run out, get a fresh plasma pistol (I’ve also found the needler to be effective on occassion here) and fill up on plasma grenades. Once the next group of bad guys see you, run back to your rock and repeat.
Unfortunately, this is one part of the game where you HAVE to kill everything to proceed to the next level…
Seeing as you’re playing in lengendary mode, I’ll assume that all of your Marines are toast, and can’t help you out.
I try to get to a stationary gun & mow down as many of the bastards as I can - but be preparded to take a LOT of fire - then haul ass & try the bottleneck scenario.
When the music changes, & the hunters show up…hopefully everything else has been cleared out. Use the dodge & shoot trick to cap them off, and hopefully you’ll make it…It aint gonna be pretty upstairs, either, and the Library - geesh! When you get there, remember - RUNNING IS NOT COWARDLY IN LEGENDARY MODE !!!
