As for my day, I woke up, showered, went to work, and am still here (I work second shift). I’ll be goin’ home in about a half-hour.
Though I didn’t really do anything special for today, as I noted in Swiddles’ thread, it was a pretty good one. I’ve made a few vows to myself, which must be fulfilled by the time this date comes around next year, and am looking forward to working on 'em. And for some reason, on my way into work, I had a sort of Saul-on-the-road-to-Damascus moment. I have, for some time, been haunted by various aspects of the past few years (depression, yadda-yadda). I was sort of mulling over that stuff in the car, and instead of the usual shame and self-loathing, I just knew that I’m not that person anymore. I’m me again, you know?

My mom actually found a 3-pack of Lux soap (only 99 cents!) in the back of our linen closet, and I refused to let her throw it away. She kept insisting, saying that we had lots of soap that was better, and there was no reason to keep this. I finally had to tell her that I wanted to keep it [sub]'cause it’s my SDMB name and I thought it would be kinda cool to have a product with my SDMB name emblazoned across it, even if I’m the only one in the world who gets it[/sub]. To her credit, she just looked at me strangely, rather than mocking me outright, and gave me the soap.
