Jeg elsker dig, Thomas

Happy Birthday, Cristi!

You are one of the coolest, most wonderful people I know. I am proud to call you a friend. I hope you have an absolutely fantastic night and enjoy the hell out of it. You deserve it, babe.

Happy Birthday, Persephone!

Wishing you the happiest of Birthdays, Cristi honey!

May you have a wonderful day full of love and laughter. And may the coming year bring you nothing but happiness!

Much Love,

Cheri

And happy 4000 wring!

Just got back from the movie (Shreck, which was really quite good!), and the husband is taking the babysitter home. Then he’s got to finish moving the rest of his gear out of the bar he played last night. The kids are in bed, and I’ve got the History Channel on. With the exception of actually going to a movie (which we rarely do, because they’re just so freaking expensive anymore), a pretty normal Monday.

You know something, though? That’s fine with me. The older I get, the more I appreciate uneventful birthdays. No, wait…that should be, the older I get, the more I appreciate uneventful days, period. Just days where the kids act like Zoo Animals instead of Wild Beasts, nothing that breaks has to be fixed with anything more than Scotch tape, no telemarketers call, and there’s actually something to snack on in the fridge. Far too many of my days have been sucky recently, so a day that doesn’t is a gift.

So now, I’m going to sign off for the evening. A couple of weeks ago, I decided I wanted to learn how to make cards. So I went to the craft store this afternoon (my gift to myself :D), and bought some really nifty supplies. I think I’ll just settle down and fool with that a bit.

(((((Everyone again)))))

My day was good, but you folks made it even better. Thank you so much.

Love, Cristi

damn, you should have mentioned this to me Persephone. in addition to my many other talents (mustard making and, um, er, um mustard making, and um, damn,I just know there’s at least one other thing I can do)

I make cards. lots of them. Have for several years. have a trunk (car) full of various supplies, ribbons, special papers, inks, ink pads, embossing powders (like about 20 kinds), heat gun, paints, thousands of rubber stamps etc.

we should definately talk. and soon.

Oops! I’m 45 minutes too late! Well, happy belated Birthday Cristi!!

Even tho we are a bit late I’m sure Mistress Persephone will more than understand.

Happy birthday love!!!

WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!?!

Both you and Medea’s Child turning 20 in the same week! Cool!

Happy birthday, sweets. A little late (sorry)

Happy belated Birthday!

I’m glad you had a great day.

Will you be using some of your flaming powers on your cards?

Late again as usual. Happy birthday Cristi. Glad your day was good.

Happy Belated Birthday Cristi. Sorry I missed this the first time. Glad to hear it was a good one.

Here’s to a good year to come.

A Note To The Belated Birthday Wishers:

Thanks! And don’t worry about it. My birthday is so close to the holiday that I rarely actually celebrate or do anything on my birthday. It’s usually before or after. I’ve had my birthday sometimes stretch out for the entire month. Medea knows what I’m talking about here.

Cranky: (((((hug))))) 20. Aaaaaah, to be 20 again…no. Nope, not doing THAT again. You know what’s really kinda neat, though? Not only do I share a birthday week with the truly awesome Medea, we even live in the same town. I personally think that’s just cooler than cool.

wring: You make cards too? So does my mom. I love the handmade cards. And she’s got all that gear too. Yes, we MUST lunch. Soon. Oh, IIRC, so does our beloved Scotticher. Hmmm…I sense the formation of an SDMB Carmaking Brigade…

I slept in today, and I just woke up. Still on my first cup of coffee. That should be “an SDMB Cardmaking Brigade…”

I was wondering if I missed the thread about Rosie the Riveters who were hard at work, churning out sedans and SUVs and singing, “I’m a-working on the Edsel, all the live-long day…”

cardmaking in a car town!? hey, whatever works. Christi is your mom doing the big rubber stamp show in Novi?

Don’t know, wring. When is it? I bet she knows about it, though and will probably attend (and purchase…alot). She’s heavily in to rubber stamping. I haven’t gotten a store-bought card or a gift wrapped in store-bought wrapping paper in over ten years. Okay by me, though. My mom is one of those “crafty” people, and her stuff is extremely cool.

in August, first weekend, IIRC. I’ve gone the past two or 3years, can’t afford it this year sad to say, but I highly recommend it as a fun thing for your mom. I could easily get info for her if you wish.
