Betcha thought that it would slip by without at least one person noticing, didn’t ya? Well, that’s not the case, my friend.
Now you know why they (mainly defined as my friends) call me “the birthday queen.”
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SCOTT EVIL!!!
Bonne Fete et Joyeux Anniversaire!
(yes, there probably should be an accent in there somewhere, maybe)
I know the Chinese version is on this computer somewhere… ah yes, here it is:
“Guung juuk nay fook sow yuen teen tsai, hing hong nay sun sun fie lok. Leen leen doe yao gum yut, suuy doe yao gum jzew, guung hay nay! Guung hay nay!!!”
(basically, “We congratulate you today, good luck this year, and have a happy birthday”… of course, my Chinese isn’t that great, so that may be wrong, but I think that’s what it generally means)
I have a list of 155 ways to say “Happy Birthday,” but I won’t post it here. Most of it would be incomprehensible, anyway, and I’d miss more than a few accents and things, I’m sure! (besides, I’m too lazy to type it out just now ;))
I’ve always liked your writing style, Scott: it’s so honest and forthright. Not everyone can write like that, and I sometimes with I could, but everyone has their own style, right? I feel I’ve gotten a sense of who you are through your posts and emails, and I can’t say that for everyone.
Yes, the big 3-0 is indeed a milestone. You can think of it as the fifth anniversary of your 25th (or whatever), of course. However, since your true age is now posted on this message board, you can’t deny it! You can run, but you can’t hide!
I don’t know if you’re the sort to make a huge deal out of your birthday, but I’ve done it for you, so you can relax. Have a great year, filled with the things you like and enjoy. Love and romance? Adventure? The joys of friendship? Whatever it may be, remember to take care of yourself and have fun!
Congratulations and best of wishes, Scott. Now, go out there and celebrate however you wish!
