Happy Father's Day to all the SDMB Dads!

Well, the title really says it all.

So, what did you get?

I’ll be the first to jump in this morning (PST), and say thanks!

I woke up to two smiling little girls…chattering and playing downstairs. (they’re Ten and Seven)

Soon-to-be-Ex offered to go get me vente white chocolate mocha…

it’s enough.

snicker… should be an “A” before vente…I am not drinking 20 white chocolate mochas!

My kids all gave me handmade cards. My 9 year old is pretty clever and made pop-up cards. The others followed his example. He was also nice enough to do the wrtiting for them.
My 4 year old daughter gave me one of those free magazines with car ads.
My Wife made a collage with 5 photos of me with each of my first 5 kids.
And my 4 year old also geve me a leaf she found.
I have a pretty resourseful family and it helps that we barely have two pennies to rub together.
But I sure feel wealthy today.

Sorry to here about the soon-to-be-ex situation you’re in, The_Stranger. [sub]Are you a Camus fan, by the way?[/sub]

Roadwalker, how sweet! How utterly and completely sweet!

Among other things, Mr. Tech received one dollar and sixty some odd cents from Nathan. At first Mr. Tech balked at accepting money from his son. Nathan was saddened at his dad’s refusal. I took Mr. Tech aside and told him to take the money and sneak it back into Nate’s cache of cash after he falls asleep tonight. Mr. Tech relented.

I opened a common thread on the IMHO board and have zero responses! You guys must have slept in today…nothing wrong with that!!

Enjoy reading your posts, JuanitaTech.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Doper Dads.

JuanitaTech-
Yes I have read Camus.

Although I must tell you I chose my user name not from Camus’ work “l’Etranger”, but from Heinlein’s “Stranger in a Strange Land”

I’m not a Dad, but he’s not on these boards, so I’ll post for him, sort of. I bought him a little CD boombox that he can listen to in the kitchen. He picked it out himself. I also sent him four virtual cards telling him what a great Dad he is. I’m taking him out to dinner next Saturday, when I have the day off. I had to work today. :frowning:

Of course, my dad deserves all these things and more. He’s kind, loving, funny, and wise. I love ya, Daddy!
