Hark, My Cutlass!

No, not the sword!

My greatgrandmother’s final gift to me was her

1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham

Hold your applause, please.

Get this.

31824 miles.
Absolutley **pristine interior.

Hasn’t been driven in years. Had to have a new transmission, seals replaced and a tuneup for less than a grand.

Booming stereo w/ functioning 8-track, and a collection of 8-tracks. Also, an aftermarket cruise control and CB.

Went to work with the shop-vac and Armor-All.

Oh, |-|3|| YES!!

You have to post some pictures of that baby. I’ll swap you for some pictures of the 1983 Buick Regal I used to drive (also a grandmother’s car) which had a baby blue exterior and plush dark blue velour interior. I love the fact that it has a CB!

Wow! That’s a sweet ride, Ilsa_Lund! I’ve always had a thing for Olds’. My Dad had a '68 Delta 88 when I was little. “The Blue Dynamite” we called it. I drive a 2000 Alero myself. And if I was ever gonna restore a car (and I might someday…) it will be some kind of 442.
31,000! Damn!

I’ll get some pictures tomorrow…

Just took it for a joyride.

Listenin’ to truckers on CB and a complimentary Olds 8-track with Janis Ian, Andy Williams, Percy Faith and Olivia-Newton John. Couldn’ get a respond from anybody on CB.

Funny part is, I’m 16!:D:D:cool:

a 16 year old in a cherry ‘77 Cutlass Supreme!!! That’s Big Pimpin’, and make no mistake…
ya HEARD?!?!?!

Well, sort of…

The funny part ws the 8-tracks and the CB.

I just listened to ZOSO on vinyl.

My first car was a 1974 Cutlass S. Like a Supreme except it had a fastback roof istead of the rectangular opera window. Big block Olds Rocket 350 with a 4 barrel carb. I got a whopping 9-12 mpg.
I miss that car.

I have some 8-tracks left. I even have a player… somewhere…

My grandma has a 1978 mercedes was bought by my grandpa for their anniversary. To this day it still looks new. Its really white. The whole thing its immaculate.

And I was born in 1978, so its even cooler.

heh… I remember when I finally took my 8-track outta my '76 Ranchero… it was one of those under-dash add-on models… I got a dc transformer and wired it into my home stereo for the longest time… I had to have a way to play my Styx, Boston, and KISS 8-tracks in the house… I couldn’t afford to buy everything on cassette at one time…

If I’m gonna pick up chicks, I’ll need a slight adjustment, though…

The car is great, but I hear the girls don’t dig Perry Como on the eight-track.
