“Okay, Jenkins, let’s try to keep this quiet until we found out who dumped Potter here, Okay?”
Obviously it’s Potter’s Field.
Particularly since the field in question was close to Clays Ltd.
Quoted from the AP story:
…“Hogwarts representatives refused to answer questions about how Potter would be disciplined. But, Headmaster Albus Dumbledore said, “This remains a lesson to all of us about the dangers of drinking and brooming.””
I can’t access the site from work…can someone give me a recap?
I hope he wipes his feet before he comes in.
ivylass - here’s your recap.
Two first edition copies of the upcoming Harry Potter book “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”, were found in a field near Clays Ltd, which will be printing the book.
Now who would go through all the trouble to steal books that are probably kept under tighter surveillance than nukes only to leave them lying in a field.
I bet they’ll turn up on the P2P networks in a week or two. Geez, bet you could get a pretty hefty price for them on the black market.
Sounds like JK Rowling just got a bunch of free publicity! Just in case there were a few kids who already didn’t have their parents calender marked, they do now.
Nah, somehow I don’t think so. I doubt she needs any publicity. I’d be suprised if she doesn’t have a holiday named after her soon. Christ! Britain printed legal money with Harry’s picture on it. Doubt she needs any publicity. I think maybe someone had a bag full and a couple fell out. I know if it was me and I went through all that trouble, first of all I wouldn’t let them out of my sight and I sure as hell wouldn’t leave them in a field somewhere where someone could just wander across them. Expecially since they were in the clear at that point. So the only explanations I can deduce are that:
A. The criminal is excedingly stupid
B. He stole enough that he/she doesn’t care that one or two are lost.
C. Hi Opal!
Was he wearing scuba gear? If so, I know how he got there.
Too much butterbeer?
What’s Hi Opal?
