I was browsing the www.amazon.co.uk this morning contemplating getting the UK version of The Order of the Phoenix just for the different cover when I stumbled across the adult edtion of the book. Now, other than having a kick ass cover does anyone what the difference is between the two? What version did we in the US get?
I don’t think there’s any difference inthe text, it’s just the cover that’s different. In the UK you can get both. I got the adult version, you’re right, it’s cool!
Is there a new Harry Potter book out then?
No difference in the text - they started doing it when the first book took off amongst adults so that us grown ups could read it on the train without embarrassment
I surfed over to amazon.co.uk last night to see what the UK edition’s cover looked like. I actually like the cover of the U.S. version of Order of the Phoenix better than either the kids’ or adults’ UK version. I also rather like the internal illustrations. Do the UK editions have illustrations (the same or different from the U.S. edition)?
The UK adult edition doesn’t have any illustrations, and as far as I know, neither does the UK kids’ edition.
Nope, no pictures.
Whyyyyyy have they completely changed the design of the cover? Tell me the adult paperback cover will have the same style as the previous 4 books? I bloody hate that, none of my books ever match fully!
