Harry Potter (yes, again) -- Adult Edition

Has anyone here read any of the Harry Potter “Adult Editions”? How do they differ from the standard editions?

For one thing, that ain’t just a magic wand.

I’ll bite. What the hell are you talking about? I’m not aware of any other versions beyong the UK and US versions.

As far as I know, the “Adult Editions” are the same books as you can buy in any one of the several languages the series is now published in, only without the brightly-colored covers. It’s a marketing thing; adults weren’t buying the book for themselves out of fear of being seen reading a “kid’s book”.

I was wondering about this last night. I have only seen book one in an adult edition (love the blue cover, btw) and wondered if any of the other books had alternative editions. Besides being a different cover, they’re considerably smaller-mass market size rather than trade. I have all four in the kid editions

I have the adult editions. They have regular “adult sized” type and extremly nice covers.

If you search for “harry potter cover art” or similar on the net you will be able to find all the variations. Many countries have their own cover art, the Swedish is my favourite, I really like their Harry, especially on the fourth book.
