Has an already-registered Doper ever gone to prison?

Almost. I got pulled over and made to do the “Stupid Human Tricks” by an very nice young Highway Patrol person. I did have a couple of beers way earlier in the day, and was nowhere near drunk. I passed with flying colors, but they never looked in the back seat and ignored the many other infractions (a couple of which might have got me a free “bed and breakfast”) and sent me on my way.

I’m thankful, and puzzled, still. Needless to say, I fixed the taillight and headlights that precipitated the stop. On 3 vehicles.

Q.E.D. and Jodi, both of the above quotes are inappropriate for MPSIMS. Personal insults and the like are meant for the Pit, so please keep them there.

Agreed. My apologies to both you and Jodi.

Wow, I really wish you had not brought that back up. I was really really drunk at the time and the monkey was wearing that red dress like she really really wanted it. :dubious:

As for the OP, I will forelay my narcissism to post a preclusion to an emminent sabbatical from the board. I strongly suspect that, after the first of the year, I will be spending a brief period of time wearing 3" horizontal black and white striped denim and an uncomfortable pair of Bob Barker brand one piece molded sandels.

Upon my return I may recount my experience here within. Thus, to satisfy the OP, after such time I will be the “Already Registered Doper” previously mentioned.

*Note, I do not fear being identified as “That Guy”. It does not take much reading of my previous posts to reveil (or revile, whichever suits the moment) which brand of “That Guy” I most generally resemble.

I am not a crook.

I have never understood the reflex and public apology. Fuck it, it’s the internet. You said what you want to say, so you said it, and then just take the warning if it’s due. Don’t apologize, everyone does this and I can’t understand it. It looks like you’re trying to get a mod’s dick in your mouth so fast it makes my head spin.

Q.E.D. I propose that you stand by your insult and ride this warning. It means that you stand by what you originally said and will not sulk back like an apologetic member.

Keep throwing torches dammit!

Oh, I stand by the sentiment–Jodi has absolutely no sense of humor when someone disagrees with her. It’s the wording I’m apologizing for; Skip is right, it’s not appropriate for the forum. Right? Right.

Oh for the love of god people, am I going to have to turn the hose on you?

Anyway, to address the OP - my ex-husband was a doper with not many posts. He got out of jail last Monday. His user name: FunLvnCriminal!! He’s out now and hopefully done with that part of his life and moving on.

I sat here for a while trying to decide if I should name him or not but I figure it doesn’t matter because he doesn’t make any bones about it IRL. Plus he doesn’t post here anymore - I got the board in the divorce.

I have little interest in defending my sense of humor or lack thereof. But just for the record, in light of the above, your weaselly non-apology is not accepted.

By mistake I was locked up in a courthouse holding cell with a prisoner (I was his lawyer interviewing him) after the rest of the crowd was returned to the district jail. Upon a head count a couple of hours later, the mistake was recognized, the officers returned, turned on the lights, and got us out of the cell. As far as apologies went, I was told that they were letting me out “for good behaviour,” so the next day I brought the officers some doughnuts.

I’m an obtuse person so I’ll try to be oblique.

Back on the farm in Tennessee between the morning hog slaughter and my afternoon switchin’ my mama would say, “lobster, never write down anything you wouldn’t want to end up on the front page of the paper”. Now if ever get internet to those parts, I’m sure this rule would go double.

Sure it may be scummy to rehash old dirt. However, if people kept their nose clean and mouth shut in the first place there would be no dirt to hash. It’s more important for each person to control the information at the source. If you put it on the internet, all bets are off. Who knows what kind of psychos (me) are going to be out there to call you a lameass until the end of time.

This board with it’s clique-ish atmosphere is DEFINITELY not going to let something go. I think since my bird-flipping incident it has been cited back to me at least three times as a reference to my bitchiness, maturity, or lack of impulse control. I think we can all agree that I’ve matured LEAPS and BOUNDS since then but I’m always going to be “that bitch that flipped off a basket of babies”

When posters start getting into the debates about who inferred and implied this and that I feel like setting myself on fire. Implerring is actually what I typed the first time.

OH and

That tears it. I start a motion to have that green asshole banned from the board. Who will second?

What we don’t need, bbs2k, is you encouraging others to break the rules. Do not do this again.

Not unlike Muffin, I once spent an hour or so in a holding cell. Living in a small town and knowing most of the cops personally equals madcap highjinks when said cops are bored.

Well as long as you’re whipping out your mod stick, I’ll go take some pics of my dick.

Will post pics soon.
[giggles… pics of dick… he he he]

Boy, that guy Jodi is always so uptight! I for one plan to bring that up at every available opportunity.

Actually, what you will do is stay out of threads where your purpose is to convince others to break the rules. Continue doing this and you may find your stay here a shorter one than you envisioned.

As for this thread, you’re done with it. If you want to complain, do so in the Pit.

Jeez, Skip. It took you 6 hours to notice that? What happened, Life?

I just read this thread and got interested. I strongly agree with Jodi on this matter. Good people keep sensitive information to themselves no matter where it came from.

And yet, if someone announces something about themselves in public, for all the world to hear and see, isn’t it reasonable to assume that they don’t consider it “sensitive information”?

Actually mhendo, I think the answer is no.
