Well, you’d be wrong. Don’t feel bad; it happens to everyone once in a while.
There isn’t any undo button in life. You are responsible for your actions. If you choose to tell everyone about your jail time in a public place then it will be engraved into the public space. You can’t expect everyone to look the other way just because you are embarrassed about your jail time. You went to jail for a reason and just serving that time doesn’t mean that you have repayed all your debt to society. Every action you make has consequences. Those consequences don’t end just because you want them to.
On a lighter note: If Paris Hilton couldn’t get her sex tapes back and prevent it from spreading on the Internet, what chance is there for someone on this board from preventing past information for popping up now and then?
Never been to prison, but I’ve certainly come close. After a few near misses, I decided to go low-key and give up my, erm, business for good.
Hi guys, this is a cool thread I’d like to bump.
Do you have reading comprehension issues, or is there some other reason you are incapable of following moderator instructions?
Now there is a good reason to not have a relationship with someone here on the board. You might lose if it comes down to a legal division.
Even worse, you might have to sponsor her membership!

But he didn’t. I don’t see that he encouraged Q.E.D. to break any rule. He simply stated that since he made the decision to break the rule, he should stand by that, and not apologize.
I have gotten carried away in the wrong forum before, and was told by a mod to cut it out. I apologized, because I honestly had simply gotten carried away, and didn’t mean to break the rule. But bbs2k is assuming (right or wrong) that Q.E.D. made a conscious decision to break the rules, and should therefore not apologize when called on it. He has already wracked up the warning, so he should take it like a man.
Hate to drudge all of this up, but the prospects of losing more and more interesting posters, (and yes, I did find him interesting, quirky and funny) is turning me into a nervous wreck. Every day, I wonder which interesting poster is going to be poof when I sign on.
Closer to topic, I think this is an interesting OP. I have wondered how a major change in my lifestyle might play out on these boards. What if I had to do some hard time in prison…would I come back to the boards when it is over like nothing happened? Would I be able to actually post from prison?
Wait, what? bbs2k is gone now?
Huh. Well, even if he was in the right (which he wasn’t), it boggles the mind that he kept on coming back for one more word, just to be obnoxious.
A bit of obnoxiousness is the spice of life. Or something.
I’ve built many amazing buildings in my life, but am I known as a great architect? No. I’ve also given a great deal of money to various causes and charities, but am I known as a great philanthropist? No. But suck one little cock…
Hee hee - I was a member first, then we got married and he was a member for a short while. The board discussion was casual, not legal, and consisted of “I was here first. These are my people.” I can’t imagine how it would work if we met each other through the board.
For all I know he lurks here now, but he doesn’t know my new screen name. Since I’ve been rather free about my old screen names I am sure he could dig me up with some Hardy Boy work.
And in the spirit of the hijack, I can say that I don’t care if he does manage to dig up which poster I am because I practice the rule of not posting anything that I can’t face in person or have thrown in my face later (well, mostly; I did participate in one thread with a sexual TMI theme but it was a one and only shot).
You would probably have to split it by forums. “You can post in GD and GQ, I get Cafe Society and MPSIMS. We can both post in the Pit, but we can’t post in each other’s threads.” Yeah, that would work.
