A week ago I came down with something that seemed like a virus that caused lung and intestinal problems. Those symptoms are gone and I feel physically stronger but have trouble staying awake. Yesterday, I came home from work and went to bed. Slept 5 hours and got up to eat but went right back to bed and slept another 9 hours.
My neighbors, co-workers and several residents at the assisted living facility where I work are complaining of the same thing. Some have nausea, fever and chills but all are puzzled by this extreme fatigue. My daughter lives in a different state and she has it too. We have not been near each other since her visit last summer. Is this a new strain and how long does it last?
Well if it is the one I’m (still) suffering from next week is when it gets fun. You add on fever/chills, congestion in the head and chest and after another week a sore throat.
I’m sliding close to week 4 of this and I’m feeling okay today only thanks to a little error on the weekend that I decided to deliberately continue through today. Full dose of Tylenol cold/flu + Neo Citrin.
I realize it’s a double dose of most of the active ingredients but my fever is almost gone, my head is clear and I’m not coughing on my co-workers. I know I can’t keep it up, but it’s just so amazing feeling mostly healthy for a change.
We’re putting all medical questions in IMHO these days, so I’ll move this thither.
