Has Johnny Depp ever done a nude scene?

I was looking at a clip from one of the Pirates movies last night – the one where Jack is lost at The End of the World and is hallucinating (?) that he is the whole crew, about 30 Jacks – and there’s a Jack without a shirt. Of course while Johnny Depp is a Major Star and is thought to be very sexy… he’s still kinda of a skinny little fella.

Has he ever in his career done a nude scene?

Apparently in Private Resort, his second movie, he can be seen naked from the rear. That’s the closest he’s ever come to a full nude scene.

I’m sure you will have scads of female Dopers flocking to this thread with the correct answer to your query. Rest assured. :stuck_out_tongue:

Seems like there might have been a nude scene in Don Juan DeMarco, but it’s been a long time since I saw it and I don’t remember for certain.

What, you people never saw Depp Throat?

Rob Morrow’s nude scene was better. Those scenes are the only reason why anyone would ever want to watch that movie.

I’d remember.

I’m hazy, but I think he might have had a sex scene in the Ninth Gate, but I doubt he was fully nude.

There is a sex scene in that, but I don’t recall it well - still, I’m pretty sure you can’t see his Depp-stick.

He had a sex scene with Christina Ricci in The Man Who Cried, but I don’t think that they were nude.

I’ve seen most all his movies, except Last Resort. which is the one where he’s nude from the rear. Anyone suffer through “The LIbertine” long enough to see if he got naked there?

BTW I do think he’s underrated as an actor since he’s done so many silly looking parts. But go rewatch “Donnie Brasco”, “Ed Wood”, “Edward Scissorhands”, “Gilbert Grape” & tell me he’s not of the greatest actors of this generation.

Really? I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone undersell his acting ability. I think of him as one of few whom seem to be universally respected for his talent and versatility.

The only criticism I hear regularly is criticism of a perceived Depp/Burton co-dependency (throw HBC into that fold as well), and I never hear those criticism as knocking Depp’s talent but to the contrary the criticism is that he’s doing another “paint by numbers Burton piece” when he has the talent to be doing so much more.

Other than on the topic of Burton Collaboration Overkill, I never hear anyone knocking Depp’s talent.

Not that I recall, but it’s been a good while since I saw it. I remember a bunch of scenes of him en deshabille, but that’s about it.
