Has NASA done any experiments with alcohol and zero G?

Basically, I want to know if NASA has done any experiments with drunk astronauts.

They have, but they didn’t plan to. At least that’s their story. It was in the news a while back, although I’m too lazy to provide a cite just now. Around the time of the lady astronaut with the diapers.

The gist of it was that some astronauts were supposedly intoxicated right up to launch. I don’t think it was proven, though.

I don’t know about NASA but I have a hard time believing that the Russians didn’t bring booze up there with them.

Alcohol cloud spotted in deep space

463 billion kilometers wide. If we you thought there was no reason to travel into deep space, think again.

I understand those EVA field sobriety tests are a real bear.

Yeah, you have to spin in only one axis.

Disproven.

Hardly – a self-reporting survey is not what I would call proof, or disproof, of anything.

Ask yourself : would *you *want to clean-up puke in a zero G environment ?

The astronauts keep trying to talk mission control into doing it, but mission control says they have to do more tests on the bottles.

There were rumors…
