Have you already voted?

Just sent in my ballot. Take that Republicans!

I live in Illinois, but I can’t vote early since I don’t have Illinois ID yet. I will vote on Election Day at the senior center next to my apartment building. If I had Illinois ID, I’d vote this week.

I just voted in Colorado. I was surprised by all the socialist candidates for President. You’ve got the Socialist USA Party, Socialist Workers, Socialism and Liberation, and Socialist Equality. You have to wonder why Obama runs as a Democrat when there are all these other options available to him.

Just filled out my NY absentee ballot. It was ridiculously easy to get, for fellow New Yorkers who have issues with election day.

Though I really will be absent. Was going to fly back on Tuesday (and would have mailed my ballot anyway) but I believe FAA regulations prohibit endless pacing during the flight, so we delayed our return until Wednesday.

Same here, except I’ll vote this weekend.

Same here!

Went through the hassle (pretty minor 'cause I could do it via email) of re-registering to vote. Got my absentee/expat ballot. Mailed it in last week. I haven’t bothered for the last 8 years since I left the States, but this time it may matter. NH might be a swing state.

I tried to get an absentee ballot in Texas so I could vote, applied for it very early and verified with my county clerk that they received the application. Unfortunately it didn’t get mailed in time and I’m out at sea until well past election day.

Oh well, there aren’t any close elections in Texas this year anyway but I’m kind of sad I don’t get to vote against Ted Cruz.

I vote on voting day and that’s when I vote!

Kids these days. Probably open their presents on Christmas Eve, too! :stuck_out_tongue:

I voted. Got my ballot in the mail last Saturday, filled it in and mailed it Thursday. I live in Arizona. I’m a blue voter in a red state.

Dude, put down the crack pipe.

No early voting in PA. Right now my current worry is that they’ve recently redrawn districts because of the census, and I’m not sure which district I’m in anymore. I *think *I’ve been “moved” from 15 to 6, but the information I’m finding online is a bit confusing.

Bangkok, Thailand. Received my ballot by e-mail last month, but printing out the security envelope proved tricky, so my voter registrar ended up mailing me some. Mailed my ballot back on October 1.

Go, Obama!

Me, too. Sounds like there’s a lot of it going around.

I wasn’t that quick. Mine got mailed out a few days ago. It’s the first time I wasn’t late enough that I had to turn it in at the polls, though. So I’m getting better.

I just voted but haven’t sent my ballot in yet.

I voted more than a week ago. In my county we have “no fault”* permanent vote-by-mail status for those who wish it, and it makes the process quite effortless and seamless. While I’m perfectly capable and wouldn’t mind going to the polling place to vote in person, I do like the fact that I’m able to vote as soon as I’ve made up my mind, instead of having to wait.

*Meaning you don’t have to present any sort of justification. On the other hand, they get back at us wrt jury duty, where it’s very difficult to get excused…

Mine arrived in the mail today, and I just got back from putting it in the dropbox outside the elections office. Now that we have all-mail voting, I submit it as soon as possible because once my name is checked off the list, the mailings and phone calls tend to stop.

(The county I live in was the last one in the SoW to go all-mail, and I do kinda miss the ritual of Election Day. But a lot of the magic [for want of a better word] was lost when stuffing a piece of paper into the maw of an electronic thingy replaced the satisfying click/click/click/ka-CHUNK that represented the “sound of democracy” — there was something about it that seemed to say, “I voted, dammit!”)

Another Oregon voter who is done and will drop it in the mail Monday.

No taking off work to get to a polling place on election day, no exit polls, no voter ID issues, no voting machines, hanging chads, standing in line, none of the other issues regarding the voting process that are endlessly chattered about. Plenty of time to research if I want more information.

And all done from the comfort of my own home.

Minnesota doesn’t have early voting and absentee voting requires an excuse that’s stronger than “I hate lines.” :frowning:

I haven’t yet, but this thread reminded me to file for my absentee ballot. I waited too close last time. And it really is the easiest way to vote–I can look up what the local candidates stand for online.

I mailed my ballot in last Wednesday. I live in New York now but I’m registered to vote in Virginia.
