I walked through the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City a couple years ago. It was a total crap hole.
I’ve walked by it. No desire for more than that.
Trump’s Vegas hotel doesn’t have a casino.
Well then. That puts a damper in my plan! ![]()
While visiting NYC in 1984, we popped into the newly opened Trump Tower. We were curious because he had just made an appearance on This Old House with Bob Villa, which is the first time we had heard of Donald Trump.
Once in the lobby, we had to wait to ascend the escalator; a ‘guard’ was there, somewhat to keep the thing from being overloaded, and also I think to keep out the undesirables (the deplorables?). I guess we were OK to let in.
We wandered about the mall on the second floor, and left within 15 minutes. It was after stepping out onto the sidewalk, lined with fancy limousines, that this country boy figured out that the world is comprised of the “have’s” and the “have-not’s”, and that I’ll never be one of the “have’s”.
